00:00We've done this club already. It's the Busman's Club. The B Network club, innit? The B Network club.
00:06B Network beer here. Black and yellow. Arcade lighting. Nice. I like it.
00:13Thanks for having us. And you know what? It's been a bit of a dark week this week.
00:17But I couldn't be finishing anywhere better than here with all of you tonight.
00:22Thanks a lot for being here, everybody. Thanks a lot.
00:26There's so much to love about this place where we live, isn't there? So much to love about it.
00:30But the best thing is, we're really true to a simple philosophy. A Mancunian philosophy.
00:36Love music. Hate racism.
00:41That is what we are here about.
00:46I don't want to make it lower the mood or anything, but you know what?
00:51Things have been pretty bad this week. I know there have been people who've been going out their front doors,
00:57going to work, looking over their shoulder, thinking someone's going to shout something at them.
01:01I heard about a kid, a 12-year-old kid, who wouldn't go and play in his football club
01:05because he thought he was going to get abuse shouted at him or hurt in some way.
01:10How bad is that? That is not us, is it? That is not what we're all about.
01:18Some of the people out there say, you know what? We want to take our country back.
01:22They want to make this country like something it's never been before,
01:25where people are fearful of going about their lives every day.
01:28That's not Greater Manchester. It's never been Greater Manchester.
01:32And I just want to come here tonight and say it's fantastic to see you all here.
01:36It's brilliant to be supporting the club, to be supporting the community, an amazing community down here.
01:42Thank you all for coming out, everybody.
01:45But you know what we do in Greater Manchester? We look out for each other, don't we?
01:50We check in on each other. We stand with each other, always.
01:55And we never, ever forget that, and I know you do that as well.
01:59But here tonight, we're here to celebrate everything that this place is all about.
02:04All of the things we share together, we're here to stand together, enjoy a night together, aren't we?
02:11And well done, Andy, Andrew, for putting this night on.
02:15You've done a fantastic job bringing this event here.
02:18We love our music, we hate racism, we're Greater Manchester.
02:22Three goals, give it up for the great Pete Doherty!
