00:00There's over a hundred events across the country that we're aware of and as we've seen over the
00:04last week or so some of those will be peaceful, will be lawful and you've only got to look at
00:08places like Southport where over the last week we've seen tremendous community groups coming
00:12together you know to commemorate you know and be empathetic with those with the community affected
00:18and the family of those the children who were tragically killed. Equally some of those events
00:23have turned into violence and we are fearful of that however we are well prepared in every single
00:29police area across the country there are additional officers brought from neighbourhood policing
00:35specially trained and available to deploy and deal with those people who commit violence
00:39and you'll have seen on your television screens both officers going forward bravely to protect
00:44their communities and make arrests and importantly even when they can't do that at the time you'll
00:49have seen us kicking doors in making sure we're arresting people after the fact we're gathering
00:53the evidence on social media on CCTV on body worn video from drone footage and of course
00:59importantly from communities who are coming forward and say they will not tolerate it and
01:03we're going to wake people up in the morning arrest them and put them in front of the courts.
01:06The simple message is don't do it you know you will be caught you know you'll have seen across
01:11the country over the last week people who have come out and committed some of the most horrible
01:15and horrific violence not only against police officers which is unacceptable but against
01:20communities against the things cars libraries and and we're saying don't do it because you will
01:26get caught already we've arrested over 400 people we've put over 120 people in front of the courts
01:32the courts the Crown Prosecution Service in fact communities are standing together and
01:37making sure these people are intent on just damaging and destroying local communities
01:42get their comeuppance and they will.
