00:25Yesterday, five innings of shutout work, only allowing two hits.

00:32So the Yankees win game one, five to two.
00:34But as Mark Zinno told you yesterday, and we made the point, Will Warren got the start
00:38for the Yanks in game two.
00:40They were a minus-245 home money line favorite.
00:44Hard to sweep a doubleheader, regardless of the opposing pitcher, and the Halos win game
00:49two, eight to two, with a ton of plus money to boot.
00:53Yeah, we talked about this yesterday.
00:54Now, granted, there were two doubleheaders, and they're both, you know, one was a sweep,
00:58which was really nice for the Arizona Diamondbacks, but the focal point that we talked about for
01:01the Yankees was doubleheaders really hurt you when you're going against a team that
01:04you should pummel on a day-to-day basis.
01:06You saw game number one, you had a legitimate starting pitcher in the major leagues on the
01:10Malfrey and Luis Gil.
01:11You won that easily.
01:12That's what you're supposed to do against the Angels.
01:14But game number two, you throw that spot starter in there, and everything is up for grabs.
01:18And as Ben pointed out, the Yankees were still a heavy favorite and should have swept that
01:21series yesterday alone.
01:23But the fact of the matter is, we know the law of averages typically says, you know,
01:27one team wins one game, the other wins the other.
01:29You might have to use a closer here.
01:30You don't have another starter in that second game.
01:32Because let's just say if you had these games, not back-to-back in a doubleheader and on
01:35a day-to-day basis, the Yankees probably would have won both of those games going away because
01:39you wouldn't have had that spot starter that you had to burn in that instance.
01:42You had another major league pitcher on that.
01:44Even if it was like a Nestor Cortez, you'd probably walk away with the victory.
01:47That was a tough scene because the Yankees, quite frankly, got that first game win.
01:51Like, OK, let's just see what happens in game number two.
01:53But it wasn't as if it was a coin flip and like, hey, minus 110, plus 110, this game's
01:57going to be really good.
01:58You should have blown them out twice.
01:59But again, the law of averages on a day where you play a doubleheader, you're probably going
02:03to split.
02:04And that hurt the Yankees yesterday.
