00:00A doubleheader of action today in Minnesota. A makeup from early in April gets started just a little bit after 2 p.m. Eastern time. The Twins a minus 138 favorite in the opening game against Cleveland and then later tonight a little bit after 8 p.m. Eastern time. The Twins a slight favorite for game number two as well.
00:24Yeah, the pressure is really going to build here today for the Guardians because they're coming into this game again playing a divisional opponent but also understanding they're on a five game losing streak and with a doubleheader. Doubleheaders aren't great for getting win streaks underway. You're just hoping that you're going to win one of these two games, which means you're probably going to be losing.
00:40Worst case scenario, what then? Six out of seven games when it's all said and done, but also game number one, Tristan McKenzie is going to take them out. He's been bad this year. No statistics over the past 30 days, but take a look at his season. 339 batters faced a 240 iso power number against with a weighted on base percentage of 362.
00:56Now, if you're going to take a look at the opposing side pitcher, it's barely over. You might say like, ah, I don't really know that guy all that well. Well, but I'm going to tell you right now. 26 eligible pitchers on my card today over the past 60 days with a minimum of 20 innings pitch. You know, we're over since number two with a 78 exit.
01:12Minus an ERA of 2.4040 and a Sierra number. Very manageable at 3.08. The better team in this game. Game number one is going to be Minnesota. Now, as I say that you can't say even in a doubleheader, you don't want to stress your bullpen out, right? You don't want to play, you know, superstars two games back to back if you don't need to.
01:31But you're telling me right now against the division opponent, losing five straight games, and I'm saying they're going to lose game number one Cleveland. You got to go max effort in game number two, regardless of what happens here, because you can't afford to lose seven in a row, including two more games to the Minnesota twins. So that's something to watch for game number two, but game number one. I do like the twins here.
