Based on a real-life incident. In 1958, Elizabeth Ann Duncan hired farmhands Augustine Baldonado and Luis Moya to murder her pregnant daughter-in-law out of jealousy of her son, Frank, an attorney. As in the film, Frank met his wife, a nurse, while visiting his mother in a hospital after her suicide attempt, a ploy to keep him from leaving home. He represented his mother during the appeals process, but not at her trial. Elizabeth, Baldonado, and Moya were executed in San Quentin's gas chamber on August 8, 1962. Convinced of his mother's innocence, Frank's last-ditch appeal for a stay of execution before the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit failed.

00:03:10Come.
00:03:21Sheikh Kassim.
00:03:24It was good of you to come at such short notice, Prime Minister.
00:03:27Oh, I've always got time for my good friends.
00:03:30Especially my very good friend, Sheikh Kassim.
00:03:33Let's go.
00:03:40What? I thought we were leaving.
00:03:42Didn't you see the paper?
00:03:43Kassim has a visit.
00:03:52Where's the magneto?
00:03:53It's in the car.
00:03:54Shit.
00:03:55I hope we won't need it.
00:03:57Quick.
00:03:59Actually, the Prime Minister has to be in Brighton
00:04:01in 55 minutes.
00:04:06Tariq, some tea.
00:04:09Oh, make mine a scotch, will you?
00:04:11A large one.
00:04:13Nothing for me, thank you.
00:04:15There has been a regrettable incident, Prime Minister.
00:04:20A regrettable incident?
00:04:22What is the Prime Minister doing here?
00:04:24I don't know.
00:04:26Couldn't this have waited until after the press conference tomorrow morning?
00:04:30I'm afraid not.
00:04:35Can we get you anything else?
00:04:49King Abdullah's nephew Nadir was killed by a group of
00:04:53reportedly British soldiers on the outskirts of Zaranj this morning.
00:04:58Bloody hell.
00:05:01What the devil was he doing in Afghanistan?
00:05:05Nadir has always been strong-willed.
00:05:09As you might say, a hothead.
00:05:12But what's this got to do with me?
00:05:16I've been instructed by the King to inform you that until this matter is sorted out,
00:05:21there will be no trade agreement between our two countries.
00:05:25No trade agreement?
00:05:27We're announcing an £80 billion arms deal tomorrow!
00:05:33As I said, Prime Minister, it is a regrettable incident.
00:05:37Regrettable?
00:05:39This is a bloody catastrophe!
00:05:43It is unfortunate that you chose to pre-empt tomorrow's press conference
00:05:47by leaking details to the media.
00:05:51The economic benefits, the new jobs,
00:05:56our continued cooperation in the fight against global terrorism...
00:06:00Look, I presume that you...
00:06:02It is not wise to assume what the hand of fate has not written, Prime Minister.
00:06:16What do you want, Kasim?
00:06:20I want nothing.
00:06:22I am but a humble servant of my king.
00:06:25Yes, yes, yes. What does your king want?
00:06:29You must understand, Nadir was the king's favourite nephew.
00:06:35He is inconsolable.
00:06:45We want the men that killed Nadir.
00:06:56Do you think Kasim will cancel the contract?
00:07:00Not likely.
00:07:26Yes, it's a nifty piece of software that the army have
00:07:29for being able to locate any of their units at any time.
00:07:33Very ingenious.
00:07:35Sir, these men...
00:07:37Look, have you any idea what the loss of this contract
00:07:42will mean to us politically and to me personally?
00:07:47Go to 700 local time.
00:07:51Ah. Well, I did now.
00:07:58According to this, they're back on board the USS Nimitz.
00:08:01Shit!
00:08:02Is there a problem?
00:08:04No, no, no, there's no problem at all, no problem at all.
00:08:06Just double-check and go back to 0600.
00:08:13This unit here, where are they now?
00:08:2131 north, 62 east, on hold until 0615 local time.
00:08:2731 north, 62 east.
00:08:33Right.
00:08:37Right, sheikh.
00:08:44There you are, sheikh.
00:08:4631 degrees north, 62 east.
00:08:49There till 0615 local time.
00:08:52Try not to miss them.
00:08:55I shall inform the king of your most gracious cooperation.
00:08:59I will see you tomorrow at that press conference.
00:09:03Do not be late.
00:09:05Most certainly, Prime Minister.
00:09:09Who's our nearest contact in Saraj?
00:09:12Asad.
00:09:14Asad.
00:09:18Email Asad with the coordinates and tell him to get his men
00:09:21to 31 north, 62 east as quickly as possible.
00:09:24Will he have enough time?
00:09:2631 north, 62 east isn't very far
00:09:29from the Iranian territory,
00:09:31but he'll be able to make it.
00:09:3431 north, 62 east isn't very far from the Iranian border,
00:09:39so it shouldn't take his men more than a couple of hours
00:09:42to get into position.
00:09:45Tariq.
00:09:47Tell Salim to transfer, say,
00:09:5050,000 U.S. dollars into Asad's account.
00:09:55No.
00:09:57Make that 100,000.
00:09:59I feel in a generous mood.
00:10:02Of course, Your Highness.
00:10:25Don't you ever put a stunt like that again.
00:10:28This deal's worth a damn sight more than the lives of a few grunts.
00:10:31Those men...
00:10:32Politics is a dirty business.
00:10:34You should know that better than anyone.
00:10:36Lying to the public is one thing.
00:10:39Sacrificing our troops in the life of our...
00:10:41Do you really want to finish that sentence?
00:10:49No, Prime Minister.
00:10:51Good.
00:10:53I'm putting you up for a safe seat at the next general election.
00:10:57Earn it!
00:11:02Thank you, Your Highness.
00:11:16We have to set up a satellite.
00:11:18No, no, better one or three.
00:11:20Trust me, it's worth it.
00:11:22But we have to do it quickly.
00:11:2431 north, 62 east.
00:11:26Okay.
00:11:31Okay.
00:11:50It's time for my watch.
00:11:52Okay.
00:12:02Are you okay?
00:12:04Give me two seconds.
00:12:10Here we are.
00:12:16I'm scared to get some rest.
00:12:18It's my watch now.
00:12:32How long do we have to wait?
00:12:35Two hours.
00:12:41Fucking RPGs.
00:12:43What a bunch of bastards.
00:12:55Hey, guys!
00:12:56There's someone here!
00:12:59Come on!
00:13:00There's someone here!
00:13:02Come on!
00:13:28According to these figures, we'll be spying across the yard today.
00:13:31The numbers are...
00:13:58Fuck.
00:14:28Assalamu alaikum.
00:14:30Wa alaikum salam.
00:14:32Wake up.
00:14:59Fuck.
00:15:08You are so lucky, my friend.
00:15:12No uniform?
00:15:14Can't your government afford to close its soldiers?
00:15:17I'm a journalist.
00:15:19Journalist?
00:15:28Anne Princeton.
00:15:30CNA.
00:15:33I thought you worked for Al Jazeera.
00:15:37Press, huh?
00:15:41I'm confused.
00:15:43Your government told us that the contingent at 31 north, 62 east
00:15:49was the unit that I just had paid a little visit to Zaranj.
00:15:53Press.
00:15:57I'm Press. Okay?
00:16:03Alina.
00:16:09Check that email again.
00:16:15The unit responsible for the Zaranj raid
00:16:19at 31 north, 62 east
00:16:22to 615 Afghan local time.
00:16:31Either I have been misinformed, Miss Princeton,
00:16:35or you are lying.
00:16:38You've got it wrong, okay? I work for CNN.
00:16:40Electricity?
00:16:42No?
00:16:46I'm a member of a fraudation list.
00:16:49Besides...
00:16:52I'm sure you're special training.
00:16:59You are special forces, yes?
00:17:09I doubt a soldier like yourself
00:17:12would have come to a bet over electrical stimulation.
00:17:16But maybe the loss of a hand?
00:17:21Or maybe if I...
00:17:24cut one of these silky smooth breasts,
00:17:29that might loosen your tongue.
00:17:32Huh?
00:17:37Put it in the chair.
00:17:51Fuck.
00:18:05I know you're lying.
00:18:08Don't let me do it.
00:18:10Do it. Do it.
00:18:12I don't want to do it.
00:18:14Please, fuck. Please.
00:18:21Oh.
00:18:23Oh, fuck.
00:18:25Left... or right?
00:18:28I told you I work for CNN!
00:18:31CNN, huh?
00:18:33Shaman, what do they mean? Shaman, shaman.
00:18:36No!
00:18:38Shaman. Yeah, shaman.
00:18:40No!
00:18:42No!
00:18:48I'll take my time with you.
00:18:52What, were you meant to kill them all now?
00:18:56It's all in good time.
00:19:00Let's see.
00:19:02Maybe she... she's worth something.
00:19:06Hmm?
00:19:09Take her to the cell.
00:19:11Show her some hospitality.
00:19:13Yes, yes.
00:19:15Come here.
00:19:41She knows everyone there.
00:19:47And then we'll see.
00:19:49Okay.
00:20:11We...
00:20:13We...
00:20:15We...
00:20:17What?
00:20:39Oui.
00:20:41Je comprends tout de suite.
00:20:48Oui.
00:21:02Daddy.
00:21:04This looks like a letter from the MP who...
00:21:07You think that after two months,
00:21:09the M.O.D. would have the decency to tell us what had happened at your unit?
00:21:13Oh, yes.
00:21:15He... he emailed me.
00:21:18A matter of national security.
00:21:22Is this how things work in Italy?
00:21:24Secrets in Italy?
00:21:26Joseph tells Carlo, Carlo tells Vincent, and Vincent tells the whole country.
00:21:33Daddy, we're running late.
00:21:35We, um... we have a party to go to tonight.
00:21:38Of course. Now, look, don't... don't overdo it, eh?
00:21:43Kickboxing championships in a couple of weeks.
00:21:45No, don't.
00:21:48Go, go.
00:21:53All right. Gina.
00:22:06This whole business about your sister is really taking your toll on your dad, isn't it?
00:22:10I know. He just... he can't let it go.
00:22:13It's...
00:22:15He just doesn't understand why, after so many years in the army,
00:22:19the M.O.D. won't tell him what happened to Jill.
00:22:22With all his contacts.
00:22:24Contacts? Even his other friends won't speak to him.
00:22:27It's like they've been warned off or something.
00:22:30Is there anything I can do?
00:22:41Are you hungry?
00:22:46I have something very nice for you.
00:22:54Enjoy it.
00:23:10No.
00:23:41At least now I can rest in peace.
00:23:48Jill...
00:23:50Jill can't.
00:24:10Jill can't.
00:24:41Oh!
00:24:46Assaf has a bit of a surprise.
00:24:51You've been very resilient.
00:24:55What's it been now?
00:24:58Two months?
00:25:00I have nothing to say to you.
00:25:03You know,
00:25:05it is amazing what you can use the net for.
00:25:08Shopping,
00:25:10finding old friends.
00:25:12Did you know that over 80% of the Chinese people use acupuncture?
00:25:17No?
00:25:19Neither did I.
00:25:21I was so intrigued.
00:25:23I thought I might carry out a little experiment.
00:25:27One that might loosen your tongue.
00:25:39Hm.
00:25:42Nice, huh?
00:25:44I made these myself.
00:25:47One for each of the coalition countries here in Afghanistan.
00:25:52You're some sort of fucking artist now, aren't you?
00:25:56Well, some of their finest art was
00:25:59created by Muslim calligraphers.
00:26:04Not that I'm comparing myself to them, but
00:26:06I did my best.
00:26:11Now...
00:26:16Let's start with
00:26:18the British.
00:26:21Hm?
00:26:25You'll like that.
00:26:28That's it.
00:26:33Nice?
00:26:35Huh?
00:26:37Fuck!
00:26:39God!
00:26:41Painful?
00:26:43Huh?
00:26:45God!
00:26:47You know, I spent a year in England
00:26:50working for my uncle, Ashurbanipal.
00:26:53They had to come back.
00:26:55God had other plans for me.
00:27:01You know, since you are unwilling to talk
00:27:04and quite valuable,
00:27:06that's why we are being very nice to you.
00:27:10Yes, very nice.
00:27:12God!
00:27:18What shall we do next, huh?
00:27:21How about...
00:27:23How about...
00:27:26How about the Yanks?
00:27:28Huh?
00:27:29Let's try the Yanks.
00:27:35God! Fuck!
00:27:37You like that?
00:27:39Huh?
00:27:40God!
00:27:41Nice, huh?
00:27:48Bring the fan.
00:27:50Yes, the fan.
00:27:53Come on.
00:28:03Let's start at the beginning, shall we?
00:28:07Name.
00:28:11I'm Princeton.
00:28:24God!
00:28:28Fuck!
00:28:41Name.
00:28:47Go fuck yourself!
00:28:54God!
00:29:13Name.
00:29:20God.
00:29:24Captain Jill Mendelsohn.
00:29:28That wasn't very hard, was it?
00:29:31I don't think we need the fan anymore.
00:29:37Take off the seat belt.
00:29:39Drink some water.
00:29:43So, Captain Mendelsohn,
00:29:46tell me about Zaranj.
00:29:50Zaranj?
00:29:51Zaranj?
00:29:52Give her a hand.
00:30:09Where was I?
00:30:12Ah, I remember.
00:30:14Zaranj.
00:30:16Tell me about Zaranj.
00:30:19It's the capital of Nimrud's province.
00:30:22And?
00:30:23And what?
00:30:25Tell me about the raid you carried out there in Zaranj.
00:30:29What raid?
00:30:31Tell me about the raid you carried out there in Zaranj.
00:30:35The day before we attacked your unit.
00:30:37I...
00:30:39I've never been to Zaranj.
00:30:45She's wasting your time.
00:30:47Just kill her now.
00:30:51I've never been to fucking Zaranj, okay?
00:30:54My unit was in Zadar.
00:30:55I brought him the day before you attacked us.
00:31:00Don't test my patience.
00:31:03I know you were there.
00:31:18Tell me about Zaranj.
00:31:21Tell me about Zaranj.
00:31:51Zaranj.
00:32:21Zaranj.
00:32:52Your Highness!
00:32:54Your Highness!
00:32:55I've just received communication from Azar.
00:32:57Oh, yes?
00:32:58What does he want now?
00:32:59More money for his cause?
00:33:02He has discovered something about the British unit
00:33:04that he attacked two months ago.
00:33:06He has found the unit is not responsible for Nadir's death.
00:33:11Nonsense. That can't be true.
00:33:13The unit commander told him.
00:33:16Nonsense. That can't be true.
00:33:18The unit commander told him.
00:33:22He was told to kill them all!
00:33:25There seems to be a survivor he is holding on to.
00:33:28Her?
00:33:29The captain.
00:33:30The commanding officer of the unit at 31 North, 62 East.
00:33:34She told him.
00:33:35Lies.
00:33:36Lies!
00:33:38John Hammond gave me his word.
00:33:41That unit is responsible for the raid on Zaranj
00:33:44and the death of King Abdullah's nephew!
00:33:46He insists she is telling the truth!
00:33:49Azar has a certain reputation.
00:33:52Then he is a misguided fool!
00:33:55What are we going to tell King Abdullah, sir?
00:33:57Just let me think!
00:34:05Contact Azar.
00:34:07Tell him to kill this woman immediately.
00:34:10Yes. Yes. It will be done.
00:34:13Antarik!
00:34:15Make sure it is done,
00:34:18or the king will have both our heads.
00:34:20Yes, of course.
00:34:22Of course, your highness.
00:34:44Hello.
00:34:46Yes, everything is fine.
00:34:49I will call you soon.
00:35:14Phew!
00:35:16A message from our contact.
00:35:19Antarik says to kill the woman.
00:35:24I am a soldier of jihad,
00:35:26not some servant someone to do his master's bidding.
00:35:30He says it must be done today.
00:35:38They are waiting for reply.
00:35:44I will decide what to do
00:35:46after I have spoken to the woman from Beirut.
00:36:03Let her in.
00:36:06Peace be upon you.
00:36:14Where is the woman?
00:36:16The woman is here, in safety.
00:36:18Do you know her?
00:36:20Of course.
00:36:22So, what can you offer?
00:36:27We can offer, let's say,
00:36:2920 AA-52s,
00:36:32250 FAMAS commando.
00:36:35Is it all?
00:36:38Hmm...

00:36:44and...
00:36:47100 of A-1s.
00:36:53Plus, of course, all the ammunition you boys need
00:36:56to keep you busy for a while.
00:37:01When can you deliver?
00:37:0372 hours.
00:37:05When can you deliver?
00:37:0772 hours.
00:37:09Where can you see the first woman?
00:37:11No problem.
00:37:12Assad, Semtex.
00:37:17Yeah, we also need Semtex
00:37:20and M-82.
00:37:23No problem.
00:37:25Nice weapon, the M-82.
00:37:29Show me the woman.
00:37:35Thank you.
00:37:54See you soon.
00:37:58We'll be waiting for you there, Tuesday.
00:38:01Six o'clock.
00:38:03And don't be late. I didn't bring any sun cream.
00:38:06Bye.
00:38:08May God protect you.
00:38:10Bye.
00:38:27She's worth her weight in gold.
00:38:29I always told you, didn't I?
00:38:32Huh?
00:38:34What shall I tell Tarek?
00:38:36Be creative.
00:38:37The less he knows, the better.
00:38:44Ya'ub.
00:38:58Oui?
00:39:01Bon.
00:39:03Previens les Italiens, puis tu viens me rejoindre à Londres.
00:39:28Stop! Stop!
00:39:30Attention! Attention!
00:39:32Okay, go, baby!
00:39:33Go!
00:39:35I found someone!
00:39:37Who?
00:39:38It's a girl!
00:39:40She's German.
00:39:42She's English.
00:39:44Let's take her away.
00:39:46Okay, get up.
00:39:48Okay, get out.
00:39:51Come.
00:39:55Sheikh Qasim is here, sir.
00:39:57All right.
00:39:58You got the file?
00:39:59Yes, sir. Here it is.
00:40:04Just summarize, will you?
00:40:06Belfast, Colombia, Sierra...
00:40:08I don't want her entire military career.
00:40:11Yes, sir.
00:40:13Captain Mandelson can't remember a thing.
00:40:15She remembers her unit making it to the airport.
00:40:18She remembers her unit making it to the RV at 31 North, 62 East, and that's it.
00:40:24What about her two months in captivity?
00:40:26Nothing.
00:40:27The doctors seem to think she's suffering from post-traumatic stress
00:40:30and she'll have been subjected to...
00:40:32Well, you know.
00:40:34Seems she blanked the whole episode out.
00:40:36What's the army going to do with her?
00:40:38She's been discharged on medical grounds.
00:40:41And the press?
00:40:43They seem pretty engrossed in the election.
00:40:45And someone who can't remember anything is hardly headline news.
00:40:48No.
00:40:53All right, send Sheikh in.
00:41:01Prime Minister, Sheikh Qasim.
00:41:08Welcome, Sheikh.
00:41:10Salam aleikum.
00:41:12Aleikum salam, Prime Minister.
00:41:14Please sit down.
00:41:25Thank you, Jacob. That'll be all.
00:41:33We had a deal.
00:41:35And I kept my side of it.
00:41:39This has to be dealt with once and for all.
00:41:42Should we take care of Captain Mandelson?
00:41:44Or would you like to make your own arrangements, Prime Minister?
00:41:49Sheikh, this young lady has no recollection at all.
00:41:53Memories come and go, Prime Minister.
00:41:56Is that a risk you are willing to take?
00:41:58If the media were to discover you sold out your own men...
00:42:02Are you threatening the Prime Minister of Great Britain?
00:42:07No.
00:42:09Not at all.
00:42:12We share the same peril.
00:42:15The wrath of my king is swift and far-reaching.
00:42:19Just like that of your British tabloids.
00:42:27I understand.
00:42:29Tell me when Captain Mandelson will be leaving her base
00:42:32and where she might be heading.
00:42:42Aye.
00:42:53You're staying at RAF Bryze, Norton.
00:42:57You'll be leaving tomorrow.
00:43:01He has a sister in Horsham with whom she will probably be staying.
00:43:12I'm most grateful for the information.
00:43:43You wanted to see me?
00:43:45Every time I see you, you are more beautiful than ever.
00:43:49What is it you want, Thara?
00:43:51I have a job for you.
00:43:53I'm not in that line of business any more.
00:43:55250,000 pounds.
00:43:57I told you, I'm not in that line of business any more.
00:43:59Half a million.
00:44:01You must be desperate.
00:44:04Can't you get someone else?
00:44:06No.
00:44:08Desperate?
00:44:11Can't you get someone else?
00:44:13I need your help, Yasmin.
00:44:16This needs your touch.
00:44:19Who's the target?
00:44:21British officer, Captain Jill Mandelson.
00:44:25An Afghan survivor?
00:44:27I know who you mean.
00:44:30It's a lot of money.
00:44:32When you can pay the right money, you can get the job done.
00:44:35Everything you need to know is in there.
00:44:40And the money?
00:44:42It will be transferred to an account of your choice.
00:44:47This is the last time I do a job for you.
00:44:50Do you understand?
00:44:52Go.
00:44:54Go.
00:45:04Zurich account.
00:45:07Yasmin.
00:45:09Make it look like suicide.
00:45:12You're always sick.
00:45:20I can't wait to see her.
00:45:22She is so tough, it's unbelievable.
00:45:26Listen.
00:45:28I need to show you something.
00:45:31What's that?
00:45:33When our troops rescued your sister,
00:45:35they found drugs, weapons and a laptop.
00:45:38Now, this is a copy of an e-mail
00:45:40the Agenzia Informazione Sigaretta Listerna found on the hard drive.
00:45:45The Italian intelligence agencies.
00:45:53The unit responsible for Zoran's raid will be at 31 North,
00:45:5762 East until 6.15 local.
00:46:01Terminate with extreme prejudice.
00:46:05Terry.
00:46:07They knew where to find her unit.
00:46:22Hi, sis.
00:46:24I'm in Horsham.
00:46:26I needed to pick up a new mobile and I got some flowers.
00:46:30I just wanted to visit Dad's grave before I came home.
00:46:35Yeah, look, I know all about the e-mail.
00:46:39Look, Kim, I need your help.
00:46:42I didn't really want to talk about this over the phone.
00:46:45I didn't want to tell you until I got back, but...
00:46:48You know, even the walls have ears, even at Briars Norton.
00:46:54Well, can I speak to you later?
00:46:56We'll leave it till I get back.
00:46:59OK, see you.
00:47:03Fucking move. Just drive the car.
00:47:48Emily Mandelson? Yes.
00:47:50Do you mind if we come in for a moment, please?
00:47:52No, not at all. Come in.
00:47:54Thank you.
00:48:02Morning, sir.
00:48:04I've just had a call from the Sussex police regarding Captain Mandelson.
00:48:07Captain...? Mandelson, sir.
00:48:09Rescued in Afghanistan.
00:48:11Yes. She's dead, sir.
00:48:13Looks like suicide.
00:48:15What happened?
00:48:17They found her car at the bottom of a cliff in Sussex.
00:48:20They think she simply drove off the edge.
00:48:23Thank you for keeping me informed.
00:48:26Shall I ask if the MOD is sending the family their condolences?
00:48:30Yes, it sounds like a very good idea.
00:48:32Make sure she... The funeral's something special.
00:48:35Yes, sir.
00:48:48No.
00:48:58Can I do a double? Excuse me.
00:49:00Are you Kimberley Mandelson? Yes.
00:49:02You have a delivery? Oh, good.
00:49:04Do you want us to bring these inside for you?
00:49:06No, no, no. Just leave them there. I'll sort them. Thanks.
00:49:11Pretty high-tech gear we've got here.
00:49:13They must be the fastest processors on the market.
00:49:15Are you a computer buff?
00:49:17Doing a degree in game design.
00:49:19Sign here, please.
00:49:23Have fun with that lot. Cheers.
00:49:27What's all this, then?
00:49:29Oh, it's just a little project I'm working on.
00:49:33Don't just stand there. Give us a hand.
00:49:45Okay.
00:49:48Let's nail these bastards.
00:50:15¶¶ ¶¶
00:50:45¶¶ ¶¶
00:51:11Morning, Kim. Hi.
00:51:13I'll leave them on the bench. Great. Thank you.
00:51:18Have a good day. Cheers.
00:51:43¶¶
00:52:14Kimberly Mandelson?
00:52:20Yeah, sure. I'll be there as soon as I can. Bye.
00:52:26¶¶
00:52:43¶¶
00:53:14Good morning, pray. Kimberly Mandelson.
00:53:18Nice of you to come.
00:53:20I thought you might like to see the hotel where it all started.
00:53:23Nice hotel.
00:53:26You should have a look at these.
00:53:36Do you understand what you need to do?
00:53:40Pretty much.
00:53:44¶¶
00:53:58Still thinking about Jill?
00:54:00Yeah, but I don't want to talk about it.
00:54:05I understand.
00:54:08Sarah Webber. I met her the other day at the Swiss embassy.
00:54:12Yeah? What's she like?
00:54:15Nasty piece of work.
00:54:17US ambassador calls her the witch of Westminster.
00:54:21She's not very popular, then, I take it.
00:54:23You wouldn't want to turn your back on her if she was holding a knife, that's for sure.
00:54:29Do you know, there's something I need to tell you.
00:54:33You know the e-mail you gave me?
00:54:37Hmm?
00:54:39I know who Tariq is.
00:54:43It's not a codename, it's a real name.
00:54:46Tariq.
00:54:48Sheikh Qasim's P.A.
00:54:50Sheikh Qasim?
00:54:52As in ambassador to King Abdullah?
00:54:55The e-mail was sent from Rothbury Manor.
00:54:59Barely 15 minutes after the Prime Minister met Sheikh Qasim there.
00:55:05Are you implying that John Hammond told Sheikh Qasim where your sister's unit was?
00:55:09In a nutshell, yes.
00:55:11Why would he do that?
00:55:13Why do politicians do anything?
00:55:16Even if the P.M. did tell Sheikh Qasim where your sister's unit was,
00:55:20you'll never be able to prove it.
00:55:23Maybe.
00:55:25Maybe not.
00:55:27But I'm going to give it a bloody good try.
00:55:35I'm going to give it a bloody good try.
00:55:38I'm going to give it a bloody good try.
00:55:41I'm going to give it a bloody good try.
00:55:43I'm going to give it a bloody good try.
00:55:45I'm going to give it a bloody good try.
00:55:47I'm going to give it a bloody good try.
00:55:49I'm going to give it a bloody good try.
00:55:51I'm going to give it a bloody good try.
00:55:53I'm going to give it a bloody good try.
00:55:55I'm going to give it a bloody good try.
00:55:57I'm going to give it a bloody good try.
00:55:59I'm going to give it a bloody good try.
00:56:01I'm going to give it a bloody good try.
00:56:03I'm going to give it a bloody good try.
00:56:05I'm going to give it a bloody good try.
00:56:07I'm going to give it a bloody good try.
00:56:09I'm going to give it a bloody good try.
00:56:11I'm going to give it a bloody good try.
00:56:13I'm going to give it a bloody good try.
00:56:15I'm going to give it a bloody good try.
00:56:17I'm going to give it a bloody good try.
00:56:19I'm going to give it a bloody good try.
00:56:21I'm going to give it a bloody good try.
00:56:23I'm going to give it a bloody good try.
00:56:25I'm going to give it a bloody good try.
00:56:27I'm going to give it a bloody good try.
00:56:29I'm going to give it a bloody good try.
00:56:31It's time that they listened.
00:56:33It's time they learned.
00:56:35Put your fingers in the fire.
00:56:39They're going to get burned.
00:56:42You'll know what they say.
00:56:45He who dares wins.
00:56:48Take a hell of a breath
00:56:51to get rid of their sin.
00:56:54La, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la.
00:57:04You were a scream heard in the night.
00:57:10You were the bag that it caught.
00:57:16Hard as diamond, soft as snow.
00:57:22If you were scared, girl, it didn't show.
00:57:28You were a secret to be kept, as sisters lost their tears wet.
00:57:41Where's the moon shining on the lake?
00:57:47Where's the sound of the rattlesnake?
00:57:53It's time to listen.
00:57:56It's time that we learn.
00:57:58Put your fingers in the fire.
00:58:01They're gonna get burned.
00:58:04You know what they say.
00:58:08He who dares wins.
00:58:10Well, take a hell of a breath to get rid of their sins.
00:58:16Take a hell of a breath to get rid of their sins.
00:58:39It's time to listen.
00:58:41It's time that we learn.
00:58:44Put your fingers in the fire.
00:58:47They're gonna get burned.
00:58:50You know what they say.
00:58:53He who dares wins.
00:58:56Well, take a hell of a breath to get rid of their sins.
00:59:02Well, take a hell of a breath to get rid of their sins.
00:59:14Well, take a hell of a breath to get rid of their sins.
00:59:44Shh.
00:59:45Shh.
00:59:46Shh.
00:59:47Shh.
00:59:48Shh.
00:59:49Shh.
01:00:14Shh.
01:00:15Shh.
01:00:16Shh.
01:00:17Shh.
01:00:44Hello?
01:00:57Yeah, no problems.
01:01:00Okay, I'll see you there.
01:01:01Bye, mate.
01:01:02Don't move, or I'll blow a hole in your head.
01:01:16Now, get down on your knees nice and slowly, put your hands around the pole.
01:01:32Now, get down on your knees nice and slowly, put your hands around the pole.
01:02:02What do you want?
01:02:20What's going on?
01:02:31Do you want an exclusive?
01:02:33What?
01:02:34Log on to the website tooclostothetruth.com.
01:02:40Hey, what's this about?
01:02:43Hello?
01:02:45Hello?
01:03:00Who are you?
01:03:05What the fuck is that?
01:03:07Snake venom.
01:03:09What?
01:03:10Emotoxins.
01:03:12Dirty little bastards.
01:03:15Seen the results firsthand in Borneo.
01:03:17On holiday.
01:03:20We thought it was food poisoning at first.
01:03:23But then things started to get really bad.
01:03:27The guy started to bleed.
01:03:31First from his nose, then his ears.
01:03:39It wasn't long before the blood was oozing from his pores like he was some sort of religious freak.
01:03:49Poor guy died in agony.
01:03:57You're looking pretty good shape, but I'd guess you've got about 40 hours.
01:04:03Unless you get the end still.
01:04:09Fucking bitch!
01:04:18Okay.
01:04:20Ladies, look lively on this.
01:04:22Come on, the news editor needs to be in on this.
01:04:24We need this on the website now.
01:04:26Rachel, do you foresee any technical problems?
01:04:28No, but I'll increase the bandwidth.
01:04:30Last thing we want is to spot a buffer underrun.
01:04:32Go for it.
01:04:34I'll give the advertising department a buzz as well.
01:04:36See if we can stir up some business.
01:04:38This is going to be huge.
01:04:40James, you contact all the European networks.
01:04:42Come on, people, let's go on this.
01:04:44Come on.
01:04:56The fuck do you want?
01:05:00The truth.
01:05:02Sad cow.
01:05:04What do you think you are, Gillian Anderson?
01:05:08Gillian Anderson, yeah.
01:05:10Well, the X-Files was always one of my favourites.
01:05:14Government cover-ups.
01:05:16Conspiracy theories.
01:05:20You should know, Sarah.
01:05:26You must be barking if you believe that shit.
01:05:35Prime Minister, you need to see this, sir, right away.
01:05:39It's just gone live across all networks.
01:05:41What?
01:05:42It's Sarah Webber, sir. She's been kidnapped.
01:05:46Recording this for posterity, are you?
01:05:49Proof of your guilt.
01:05:53You being a spin doctor and all that,
01:05:56I thought you might like the chance to air your views on film.
01:05:59What views?
01:06:04How about free speech?
01:06:06Bollocks.
01:06:07Bollocks? To free speech?
01:06:09Wait, you just think people shouldn't have a right to view their opinions anymore?
01:06:13Bollocks to you.
01:06:15I'm not saying anything.
01:06:20Suit yourself.
01:06:24Come 4pm, Sunday,
01:06:28you'll be dead.
01:06:33Deep talk.
01:06:36Night-night.
01:06:46Who the hell is that woman?
01:06:48No idea, sir.
01:06:49Right.
01:06:51Call Johnson at MI5.
01:06:52Tell him I want a special ops unit over here, under my control, 24 hours a day.
01:06:57And convene a cabinet meeting.
01:07:00And the media, sir?
01:07:03Spin them some terrorist yarn.
01:07:06Get the police to round up the usual Islamic suspects.
01:07:09This may buy us enough time to sort out this mess.
01:07:16Live footage of the PM's special advisor, Sarah Webber,
01:07:18continues to be beamed across the internet.
01:07:21At a press conference a few minutes ago,
01:07:23the Home Secretary announced that all possible measures
01:07:25are being put in place to find Sarah Webber as quickly as possible.
01:07:29We're joined now by our political editor, Raymond Burton-Smith.
01:07:33So, Raymond, what's your view on Miss Webber's kidnapping?
01:07:36It's difficult to know at this stage who's responsible for the kidnapping,
01:07:40but the government seem pretty sure this is the work of Islamic terrorists.
01:07:45As I understand it, there haven't been any ransom demands made as yet,
01:07:48so how can they be so sure?
01:07:51Well, the kidnapping bears all the hallmarks of an Islamic group.
01:07:55There's no message of the internet and video footage of the captive.
01:07:59But why would anybody want to kidnap Sarah Webber?
01:08:02Miss Webber has been one of the most outspoken of the Prime Minister's advisors
01:08:06regarding the need to introduce new laws to fight international terrorism,
01:08:11and no doubt the terrorists saw her as an ideal target.
01:08:16I'm wondering if Miss Webber's kidnapping
01:08:19refers to a kind of high-profile...
01:08:22Come in!
01:08:25Jacob, they're taking the bait.
01:08:28Yes, sir.
01:08:29Now, it wouldn't do any harm to drop some of the usual names,
01:08:32you know, Ben Laden and al-Qaeda and that sort of thing.
01:08:35Yes, sir. Shall I bring in the Special Ops Commander?
01:08:38Yes, go on.
01:08:46Prime Minister, Major Paul Davidson.
01:08:48Paul!
01:08:49Prime Minister.
01:08:50Sit down, please.
01:08:57What's your take on all this?
01:08:59Well, it's early days, sir, but my team are on the case.
01:09:02We've spoken to Webber's bodyguard.
01:09:04Anything?
01:09:05He was standing by the car and someone took him out.
01:09:10Neighbours?
01:09:11The house is pretty much isolated.
01:09:14But we've got the police down there,
01:09:16just in case we do get a curtain twitcher amongst them.
01:09:20Now, what's your take on this Internet broadcast?
01:09:23Well, we're tracking the source of the transmission as we speak.
01:09:26How long?
01:09:27Could be a couple of hours, could be as much as 48.
01:09:3048 hours?!
01:09:32I thought you clever people could do this sort of thing in a matter of minutes!
01:09:35This is a specialist, sir.
01:09:37Maile says that she's using a modulated encryption algorithm
01:09:42that's masking the source of the transmission.
01:09:44Look, I'll take the English translation, please.
01:09:48Every time a computer connects to the Internet,
01:09:50its unique IP address identifies it.
01:09:53It's like a shop.
01:09:56Taking your name every time you visit one of its stores.
01:10:00She's rerouting her Internet access through a network of proxy servers.
01:10:04Then how the heck do you expect to trace her?
01:10:07As soon as we get a fix on her.
01:10:09I have two SES teams on standby, ready to take her out.
01:10:14Good.
01:10:17Very good.
01:10:18Now, Paul, no mistakes, right?
01:10:22Sarah Webber's very important to me.
01:10:27Yes, sir.
01:10:30Good luck, Major!
01:10:40Can't see a little chat yet?
01:10:42No.
01:10:46Okay.
01:10:48I've got all the time in the world.
01:10:50Unlike you.
01:10:55They'll be looking for me.
01:10:58Of course.
01:11:04Feeling the heat, hmm?
01:11:06Feeling the heat, hmm?
01:11:08It's the light.
01:11:10And here's me thinking you were used to being in the spotlight.
01:11:22They will find me, you know.
01:11:24Of course they'll find you.
01:11:27The question is whether you'll still be alive.
01:11:36Thank you.
01:11:42Is everything okay?
01:11:43No problem.
01:11:45Don't let it get out of hand.
01:11:47We can't make a mistake.
01:11:49Don't worry.
01:11:50I've put a device in place.
01:11:55In case of emergency, all the necessary information.
01:12:06Okay.
01:12:11Let me know.
01:12:20How much does it cost to buy a politician these days?
01:12:25Huh?
01:12:26Ten thousand?
01:12:28A hundred thousand?
01:12:31A million?
01:12:33Or does it depend on the favour you want doing?
01:12:38What the fuck do you want from me?
01:12:41I told you, I want the truth!
01:12:47Do you think she'll talk?
01:12:48Would you?
01:12:50I'd try and buy some time.
01:12:52Give this crazy bitch a bit of useless gossip.
01:12:56The problem is...
01:12:58Sarah knows where all our skeletons are buried.
01:13:04What are you implying?
01:13:09If she were to become a liability...
01:13:13Well, understood, sir.
01:13:15I'll let Davidson know.
01:13:21This is where the bodyguard was taken out.
01:13:23Very good. Carry on.
01:13:27Thank you.
01:13:37May Lee.
01:13:39How are we doing?
01:13:40This woman's good.
01:13:42She's hauled us round the globe three times already.
01:13:44Yeah, well, she can run, but she can't hide.
01:13:46I hate to say it, sir, but she really knows what she's doing.
01:13:50There's no pattern, just random access.
01:13:52So how long?
01:13:53At least a couple of days.
01:13:54We don't have a couple of days.
01:13:58I don't know why you do it.
01:14:01Do what?
01:14:02Lie.
01:14:03Mislead people.
01:14:05That is what spin doctors do, isn't it?
01:14:08Where did you get that idea from?
01:14:10Machiavelli.
01:14:11Oh.
01:14:13You can read.
01:14:14Why?
01:14:15You can read.
01:14:16You can read.
01:14:17You can read.
01:14:18You can read.
01:14:19You can read.
01:14:20You can read.
01:14:21You can read.
01:14:22You can read.
01:14:23You can read.
01:14:24You can read.
01:14:25You can read.
01:14:26You can read.
01:14:27Why all the deception?
01:14:29Don't you think that people have the right to know what their elected government is getting up to?
01:14:35God, you're naive.
01:14:38And where did you get that idea from?
01:14:41Abraham Lincoln.
01:14:43Government of the people, by the people, for the people.
01:14:49What cave did you crawl out of?
01:14:53Government is about making the right choices.
01:14:58The right choices?
01:15:01What, like invading Iraq?
01:15:04And what little lie was that based on?
01:15:07Politicians have to do what they think is right for their country.
01:15:12Right.
01:15:13So, if our politicians, in their infinite wisdom, decide it's okay to gun down Iraqi civilians,
01:15:20or blow up their schools with cruise missiles, then who are we to doubt them?
01:15:25You don't know what you're talking about.
01:15:28Oh, I do.
01:15:30I have been there, and it's not a pretty sight.
01:15:34Yes!
01:15:36I think our friend has just made her first mistake.
01:15:39Get Tomlinson at the Home Office to run a security check on every single UK passport holder who's entered Iraq since the war began.
01:15:45But there'll be thousands of people who've been there.
01:15:47Civilian contractors, journalists, oil workers.
01:15:50But how many women?
01:15:57Tomlinson, I want to show you some photographs.
01:16:02Smith.
01:16:04Johnny.
01:16:06Sergeant.
01:16:08832-46927.
01:16:11Was killed 12 months ago in Iraq.
01:16:16What's it got to do with me?
01:16:19Bloody hell.
01:16:21Not the friendly fire incident.
01:16:24What the hell's going on here?
01:16:27What the hell's going on here?
01:16:30A soldier knows when he joins up.
01:16:33He's putting his life on the line.
01:16:36Of course he does.
01:16:38And he's proud to do it.
01:16:41But he doesn't expect to be killed by his own side.
01:16:44Accidents happen.
01:16:47Collateral damage.
01:16:49Yeah, I know all about collateral damage.
01:16:53Everyone is expendable. Even you, Sarah.
01:16:58It's lucky for you Paul Davison has Maile helping him find you.
01:17:02Otherwise MI5 would still be looking for you this time next year.
01:17:07I don't know who you're talking about.
01:17:09MI5's computer is. Of course you know Maile.
01:17:13I know more than you think, Sarah.
01:17:17This woman just mentioned you on our little chat show.
01:17:20Me?
01:17:22That's not possible.
01:17:25Unless she's hacked into our system.
01:17:27And how likely is it?
01:17:29I'll run a security check, see if there's been a breach.
01:17:36You know there is another possibility.
01:17:40What if this woman works for us?
01:17:43I mean, what if she's military intelligent and she's MI6?
01:17:49That would explain a great deal.
01:17:55Call the Home Office.
01:17:57And tell them to run a security check.
01:18:00And to concentrate on military and intelligence.
01:18:05Stop lying to me!
01:18:07How the hell am I supposed to know what happened in some fuck-up in Iraq?
01:18:12You need some more thinking time, Sarah.
01:18:15Don't leave it too long. I hate digging.
01:18:22I'm sorry.
01:18:24I'm sorry.
01:18:26I'm sorry.
01:18:28I'm sorry.
01:18:30I'm sorry.
01:18:32I'm sorry.
01:18:47After nearly 24 hours into the kidnapping,
01:18:50it appears that the authorities are still no closer to finding Miss Webber.
01:18:54Is that correct, Raymond?
01:18:56MI5 are understandably keeping things pretty close to their chest.
01:19:00They've had unsubstantiated reports of an imminent breakthrough.
01:19:04In the search?
01:19:05In identifying the perpetrator or perpetrators.
01:19:08And is this still being linked to Al-Qaeda?
01:19:11Well, that's the official line, yes.
01:19:13What's the likelihood of the government shutting down the UK internet
01:19:16to stop this whole affair getting out of hand?
01:19:19Well, technically they could, yes.
01:19:21But if they did, the public could think this government has something to hide.
01:19:26As if.
01:19:31OK, let's talk about something else.
01:19:35How about Gulf War syndrome?
01:19:42You're the Prime Minister's special adviser,
01:19:44so how about you give me the government's take on that?
01:19:56None of the studies commissioned by the government
01:19:59found any evidence to support the claims made by our troops.
01:20:05So, you're telling me that the chronic fatigue and the immune system disorders
01:20:12are just psychosomatic, just symptoms of post-traumatic stress?
01:20:19It looks that way, yes.
01:20:22And you don't think, and this is just a wild guess,
01:20:27you don't think it had anything to do with the cocktail of vaccines you gave them,
01:20:32exposure to nerve agents or depleted uranium in the shells?
01:20:39We inoculated our troops against things like anthrax for their own good.
01:20:50I mean, it's good to know that the government has the well-being of its troops
01:20:54at the forefront of its mind.
01:20:57It's just a shame you didn't consider the long-term effects
01:21:01of pumping those drugs into their bodies.
01:21:04You can't argue with science.
01:21:08Which fucking science? Well, government science!
01:21:13The independent studies.
01:21:15Because I seem to recall the government saying it was safe to eat beef,
01:21:20and how many died on the back of that little lie?
01:21:24I don't know.
01:21:39Hello?
01:21:41She's got balls, that woman.
01:21:45Call me if there's a problem.
01:21:49Are they confident on the signal?
01:21:51I believe they are.
01:21:53Get confirmation.
01:21:55And recheck all this data. How long?
01:21:57Ten minutes.
01:21:59Give me ten, fifteen minutes. I should have a look on the signal.
01:22:02Good.
01:22:11Davidson's located the source of the transmission.
01:22:14Let's go!
01:22:19Sir, take a seat.
01:22:27How many in the attack squad?
01:22:29Four.
01:22:30Four?
01:22:31Alpha team are more than capable of looking after the situation, sir.
01:23:19Okay, Marnie. Are we good to go?
01:23:22Satellite link coming online.
01:23:25Now.
01:23:30Okay, you got a fix on the target and the victim?
01:23:33Fragmented heat source coming from the main barn.
01:23:36Fragmented?
01:23:37The broadcast equipment's probably preventing us from getting a lock on our target.
01:23:41I don't know.
01:23:43Alpha One, you're good to go. Repeat, you're good to go.
01:24:13Alpha One, you're good to go. Repeat, you're good to go.
01:24:24Go by.
01:24:27Copy.
01:24:36There!
01:24:38There!
01:24:40We got that laptop.
01:24:42You two, see what we can get a handle on who set this up.
01:24:48Phone ringing.
01:25:11Marley.
01:25:14It's her.
01:25:16It's her.
01:25:23Better luck next time.
01:25:26Do you know this woman?
01:25:29How could I?
01:25:31Well, she apparently knows you.
01:25:33And how the heck does she get a number of a special ops unit out here?
01:25:37It seems your boss has just given Paul a little bit of a rollicking.
01:25:44You see, his boys just triggered my decoy which sends a call to this phone.
01:25:52So we think she's either ex-military or she used to work for the intelligence services.
01:25:58One of ours?
01:26:00Yeah.
01:26:01Well, why wasn't I informed?
01:26:04Why wasn't I informed?
01:26:06Well, once we got a look on the signal, I just prioritised.
01:26:10Don't!
01:26:22Dear, it looks like your ear's begun to bleed.
01:26:28Huh?
01:26:32Pete, aren't they the coordinates for the...
01:26:35Yeah.
01:26:37It is.
01:26:39Fuck.
01:26:44Fuck.
01:26:58We're running out of time.
01:27:02Sorry, you are running out of time.
01:27:11What do you want to know?
01:27:18I saw the email.
01:27:20The one Tariq Malim sent to Assad.
01:27:25The one sent after you and your boss met Kassim at Rothbury Manor.
01:27:35You...
01:27:37It wasn't my idea.
01:27:40That's not important.
01:27:44I just want to know why.
01:27:48Sheikh Kassim was threatening to pull out of the deal.
01:28:04US Navy SEALs raided a house on the outskirts of Zaranj.
01:28:14King Abdullah's nephew Nadir was killed.
01:28:20What's Sarah talking about?
01:28:22He wanted revenge.
01:28:28Kassim asked Hamad to give up the position of the troops and carry out the attack.
01:28:38But by that time, the SEALs were back on the USS Nimitz.
01:28:48So Hamad gave up the unit at 31 North, 62 East instead.
01:29:01She's delusional, she's...
01:29:06You're telling me...
01:29:10Hamad sacrificed an SAS unit for the sake of some arms deal?
01:29:18Take that bitch out now!
01:29:21Davidson, you have 30 minutes.
01:29:25I want a complete sweep, you understand?
01:29:28A complete sweep.
01:29:32Captain Tate's just confirmed he's got a fix on the source of the transmission.
01:29:36He's relocated now.
01:29:37How long?
01:29:38Ten minutes, sir.
01:29:39Excellent.
01:30:01Ten minutes, sir.
01:30:05The antidote will kick in pretty quickly.
01:30:11We'll have to wait a few more minutes.
01:30:16We'll have to wait a few more minutes.
01:30:21We'll have to wait a few more minutes.
01:30:26We'll have to wait a few more minutes.
01:30:31The antidote will kick in pretty quickly.
01:31:02Why do you think Hamad did it?
01:31:09Power?
01:31:12Personal ambition?
01:31:16Why do politicians do anything?
01:31:21I've lost the comm.
01:31:22Well, fix it.
01:31:24And where's the satellite link?
01:31:25Not in position yet, sir.
01:31:28To him, the lives of a handful of grunts was nothing compared to a deal that would guarantee his re-election.
01:31:42And a nice little backhander on the side, no doubt.
01:31:48Two in position.
01:31:50Three in position.
01:31:51Four in position.
01:31:53In position.
01:31:59You're free to go. There's a car park round the corner.
01:32:03No survivors.
01:32:05Direction?
01:32:14Why'd you do it?
01:32:17For the British public.
01:32:21To show them what bastards are running their country.
01:32:29Stop!
01:32:33Stop!
01:32:40They're here.
01:32:49Okay, I want you to put this on. It's just in case.
01:32:59Stand by.
01:33:03Stand by.
01:33:05Go.
01:33:08Okay, do everything I say and stay close.
01:33:11Sinead, I've lost the weber feed.
01:33:14Let's go.
01:33:18Captain, give me a status report.
01:33:22Can confirm. Two x-rays down. Transmission has been terminated. I repeat, transmission has been terminated.
01:33:29Returning to base.
01:33:30Good man.
01:33:32Good job, Captain.
01:33:33Roger that.
01:33:38It's done.
01:33:42Yes, sir.
01:33:44Right away, sir.
01:33:47P.M. wants me for a press conference. You tell Captain Tate to meet me there.
01:33:51Yes, sir.
01:33:54Captain Tate?
01:33:55Yeah?
01:33:56Good work.
01:33:57You gave it your all, didn't you?
01:34:00Yes, sir.
01:34:02Captain Tate?
01:34:03Yeah?
01:34:04Good work.
01:34:05You gave it your all, didn't you?
01:34:07Press conference with the Prime Minister. He wants you to brief your team over there.
01:34:11Roger that.
01:34:18Let's go.
01:34:22Ladies and gentlemen, following the events of the last 40 hours, the Prime Minister will now make a brief statement.
01:34:32Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen.
01:34:35At 2 o'clock this afternoon, the source of the broadcast that you've all been watching for the past couple of days was located.
01:34:43An attempt was made to arrest the people responsible for the broadcast.
01:34:49Unfortunately, it was met with fierce resistance, and in the ensuing gun battle, two people were killed.
01:35:00It is with great regret, I must tell you, that the team that entered the building found certain documents.
01:35:09Documents which indicate that my one-time friend and associate, Miss Webber, arranged her own kidnapping.
01:35:20Now, my colleagues and I have for some months now been concerned.
01:35:26Concerned about Miss Webber's increasingly erratic behaviour, and I...
01:35:33Can you confirm the woman we saw in the broadcast was Captain Mandelson's sister, Kimberley?
01:35:40I can indeed confirm that, yes.
01:35:43Paul.
01:35:45Prime Minister, can you deny the allegation that Captain Mandelson was actually set up?
01:35:51Paul, the MOD will publish a full inquiry into the events that took place, and I do not want to prejudice their findings.
01:36:00But I have been privy to a preliminary copy of their report, which shows, I'm afraid, quite conclusively,
01:36:09that the only person responsible for the death of those three soldiers was Captain Mandelson.
01:36:16Any more questions?
01:36:18Yes, yes, yes. Camilla.
01:36:20So just to clarify things, Prime Minister, you can confirm that both Sarah Webber and the late Captain Mandelson's sister, Kimberley,
01:36:29have been killed?
01:36:31Yes, indeed, I can confirm that.
01:36:33And there's absolutely no truth in the claim that you sold out Captain Mandelson and her men
01:36:39to prevent King Abdullah pulling out of the arms deal?
01:36:43Categorically, I did not, not sell out this SAS unit at all.
01:36:50But I will tell you something, though. I am proud of that arms deal.
01:36:54Eighty billion pounds will put money into our National Health Service.
01:36:58That means more funding for our education system.
01:37:01That means giving the youth of this country the opportunity to find work and enjoyment and labour.
01:37:08And I am proud of that.
01:37:15I'll go and wait round the back entrance.
01:37:18I think I'll let you deal with this one.
01:37:29Good luck.
01:37:31Prime Minister! Prime Minister!
01:37:35Prime Minister! Prime Minister!
01:37:48You look like you've seen a ghost.
01:37:51I thought you were dead.
01:37:53No, no, no.
01:37:55Hey.
01:37:56Hey.
01:37:57I suppose I can say this now. I never thought your plan would work.
01:38:01Well done.
01:38:03So who died in the car crash?
01:38:06I don't know.

01:38:23So when did you two set all this up?

01:38:31Hammond will have to resign, of course.
01:38:34He should be shocked for what he did to my man.
01:38:36Yeah, but he won't.
01:38:38He'll end up as managing director of one of his buddies' companies,
01:38:41or be shipped off to Europe,
01:38:43given a few hundred grand to debug a role.
01:38:46Become a peace emissary.
01:38:51Such is life.
01:38:53Oh, you don't mind that King Abdullah
01:38:55will be probably giving the French
01:38:57the £80 billion arms contract, do you?
01:39:03Right.
01:39:04I did what I had to do and shit happens.
01:39:07What are you going to do now?
01:39:10I don't know.
01:39:12I'm going to lie low for a bit, I guess.
