University O-Week events, walk-in clinics on the list of organisations where ultrasound probe covers may have been incorrectly handed out as condoms
Canberra Health Services says it has removed more than 800 condoms from its community health centres after a bungle that saw ultrasound probe covers mistakenly handed out as contraceptives. It's been revealed as many as 20 organisations may be caught up in the mix-up. Sexual Health and Family Planning ACT yesterday issued a recall for its condoms, warning anyone who'd received a pack they supplied in the past six months to discard it.

00:53It's advising that any condom packs bearing the Sexual Health and Family Planning ACT branding should be thrown away.
01:00These devices are not designed to be condoms, so they should therefore not be assumed to provide protection to either contraception or STIs.
01:10The organisation says if people are worried they have already used the incorrect product, they should contact their GP.
01:16Sexual Health and Family Planning ACT says it will investigate how the error occurred once the immediate risk has been resolved.
