02:25set for September 10th is officially on.
02:28Trump going before the cameras at Mar-a-Lago today,
02:31making his first public appearance
02:32since the introduction of the new Harris Walls ticket.
02:35Trump not only agreeing to the ABC News debate,
02:37but challenging Vice President Harris
02:39to meet for two others next month.
02:41Trump on the attack,
02:42criticizing the Vice President's intelligence
02:44and lodging complaints about coverage
02:46of the large crowds at her rallies.
02:48He also claimed abortion, a key focus of her campaign,
02:51will only be a small issue come November.
02:54And he was pressed,
02:55will there be a peaceful transfer of power if he loses?
02:58On the campaign trail today,
02:59Vice President Harris and Governor Tim Walz
03:02met with UAW members in Michigan.
03:04Their blitz of battleground states
03:05takes them to Phoenix, Arizona tomorrow.

03:10Tonight, it's official.
03:12Former President Donald Trump
03:13and Vice President Kamala Harris
03:15will face off in a primetime debate on ABC next month.
03:19The debate, one of three that Trump agreed to
03:21during a Mar-a-Lago press conference,
03:23his first public appearance
03:25since the debut of the new Democratic ticket.
03:27I just look forward to these debates.
03:29I think it's very important that we have them.
03:32I think they'll be very revealing.

03:36Trump challenging Harris
03:37to accept the other two proposed debates,
03:40insisting that he has not changed his campaign strategy
03:43to go after Harris and her vice presidential pick,
03:46Minnesota Governor Tim Walz.
03:48We have somebody that hasn't received one vote
03:51for president, and she's running,
03:55and that's fine with me.
03:56Harris had previously committed to the ABC News debate
03:59after replacing President Joe Biden as the nominee.
04:02I'm glad that he's finally agreed to a debate
04:05on September 10th.
04:05I'm looking forward to it, and hope he shows up.
04:09Throughout the more than one-hour-long press conference,
04:12Trump repeating false and misleading statements,
04:15including that no one died on January 6th.
04:18According to the Department of Justice,
04:20five people died during or after the attack,
04:23including four protesters and one police officer.
04:28Trump also bristling at the idea
04:30that the Democratic ticket is gaining more support
04:32than his own, as Harris and Walz
04:34long-stormed the battlegrounds.
04:36They talk about, oh, the enthusiasm.
04:39Let me tell you, we have the enthusiasm.
04:41The Republican Party, and me as a candidate,
04:44but the Republican Party has the enthusiasm
04:48because people wanna see crime stopped.
04:50Trump even suggesting that he attracts crowds
04:53larger than Martin Luther King Jr. did
04:55for his I Have a Dream speech.
04:57I've spoken to the biggest crowds.
04:58Nobody's spoken to crowds bigger than me.
05:01If you look at Martin Luther King,
05:04when he did his speech, his great speech,
05:07and you look at ours, same real estate, same everything,
05:11same number of people.
05:12If not, we had more.
05:15And asked about President Biden's warning
05:16that there would absolutely not be
05:18a peaceful transfer of power if Trump loses in November,
05:21Trump falsely claimed that there was in 2020,
05:24and there would be again,
05:26as long as the election is honest.
05:28Of course there'll be a peaceful transfer,

05:34I just hope we're gonna have honest elections.

05:38that she's open to considering more debates,

07:27who sadly did not survive.

08:08Well, Lindsay, Debbie's finally on the move.
08:10You know, downgraded to a depression,
08:11but that doesn't diminish the impact it'll have
08:13through the Mid-Atlantic and into the Northeast.
08:15We have flood watches that are out from the Carolinas
08:17all the way to New England.
08:18The tornado watch was now expanded from North Carolina
08:21all the way up into the D.C. area.
08:23So let's time this out for you.
08:25We have an active tornado warning north of Moorhead City.
08:27The heaviest rain over North Carolina
08:29and Western Virginia tonight.
08:31Into Baltimore and D.C. tomorrow morning
08:33and really hammering Central Pennsylvania,
08:35State College, Williamsport, even up to Elmira, New York.
08:38You do not want to be on I-87 during the afternoon hours
08:41tomorrow, very heavy rain,
08:42and then the threat for flash flooding, damaging winds,
08:44even isolated tornadoes,
08:46right down into the New York City area.
08:47The good news is it leaves the scene
08:49and we're back to beautiful weather,
08:50probably cleaning up though over the weekend.

14:21We got called out this morning,
14:23originally about eight o'clock,
14:24for an assist PD call.
14:25They ended up being a participant in the water
14:28that was down.
14:28First responders using divers and drones
14:31to search Marine Creek Lake,
14:33locating the body of 28-year-old Lazar Djukic of Serbia,
14:37seen in a video posted by CrossFit before the competition.
14:41Well, he started to doing small turns
14:43and he was trying to get his head out of the water,
14:46and it was at that time
14:47that we started screaming to the lifeguard,
14:49like, he needs help,
14:50and then within seconds, he was under
14:52and he never came back up.
14:54Tonight, the CEO says a safety plan
14:56and staff were in place at the time,
14:58and that CrossFit is cooperating with authorities
15:01in their investigation.
15:03A lot of people are mourning,

18:50to their new semi-permanent campus.
18:53We were breaking ground in January.
18:55And here we are in a new school.
18:57One of their first assignments,
18:59writing gratitude cards to Mahalo,
19:01or thank, local firefighters.
19:03They'll deliver these today
19:05on the one-year anniversary of the fire.
19:07And tonight, that famed 151-year-old banyan tree
19:11showing new signs of life too.
19:13Thanks to conservation and restoration efforts,
19:15parts of it are not only healing,
19:17but now sprouting hundreds of new leaves.
