00:00But George, the next guy on this list here in the consensus rankings is Jonathan Taylor,
00:07a guy last year everybody had high expectations for, and as you mentioned, did not show up
00:12in camp.
00:13We talked about this, right?
00:14Had the holdout, waiting for contract situations, and wouldn't you know, injuries happen to
00:19Jonathan Taylor, right?
00:20So there's the perfect example of what George was talking about at the top of this show,
00:24his concerns with CeeDee Lamb.
00:25But my concerns typically are more with the running backs of the scenarios, and Jonathan
00:29Taylor was that guy last season.
00:31This year, very different situation.
00:34Jane Steichen here in year two, being the Colts head coach, and hopefully you're getting
00:39Anthony Richardson for an entire season now.
00:42That dynamic duo could certainly change the landscape in a big way in the AFC South, but
00:47also in a big way potentially in your fantasy leagues, and Jonathan Taylor could be a huge
00:51beneficiary.
00:52Colts have a good offensive line.
00:53He's currently ranked as RB4 on the board, projected for 222 fantasy points.
00:59But Jonathan Taylor has had a bit of up and down, a bit of stop and start.
01:03The question I have for you, George, are you ready to reinvest in Jonathan Taylor and say
01:07last year was just an inconvenience, and unfortunately a situation that, again, the guy was holding
01:14out, didn't have the regular offseason, came in, injuries happened, this is what it looks
01:18like when these things happen, and you're ready to love again when it comes to Jonathan
01:21Taylor?
01:22Or are you concerned that maybe at his current overall ADP, you'd rather be taking some
01:27of the big wide receivers that are on the board?
01:30Ding, ding, ding, ding.
01:31All right.
01:32Give the man a prize here.
01:33That's exactly where I'm going with this.
01:34I am only willing to take three running backs in the first round, all right, the top three
01:38that we already talked about here, Christian McCaffrey, Paul Robinson.
01:42After that, I'm taking a wide receiver, all right?
01:45There's like very little doubt in my mind I would take a wide receiver after that.
01:48And a lot of leagues I play in, by the way, are super flexed leaguers.
01:50I think more people should play in, by the way.
01:52This way, quarterback becomes more valuable and it's more fun.
01:55But anyway, I'm not against Jonathan Taylor, all right, but there's a lot that has to
02:00go right here.
02:01You already said it.
02:02Richardson has to play, all right, or else it doesn't matter who you take in there.
02:05They don't have, I mean, I like Pittman, but he's not a great number one wide receiver.
02:10You already lost Josh Downs about in four to six weeks.
02:12He's probably out, you know, part of September, a couple games here or there.
02:16Man, anybody else goes down, there's no offense there except Taylor.
02:19He's going to see stack boxes.
02:21He's going to see defense paying attention to him.
02:23It's going to be, let anybody else but him beat us, especially until Richardson approves
02:27that he can beat them through the air or with his legs and or with his legs there.
02:31So I have some worries about Jonathan Taylor.
02:33That being said, I'll take him in the second round, not like I'm dropping him to round
02:36six, you know, but I'm not taking him around.
02:39I'm not taking any other running back other than the three I mentioned in round one.
02:42I will go wide receiver.
02:43Yeah, I'm not taking Taylor in round one either.
02:45I'm looking at the Marvin Harrison grouping of wide receivers, Garrett Wilson around that
02:48same 10 overall, which currently is where he's going at ADPs, currently going around
02:5210 overall.
02:53It's a little too rich for my blood.
02:54I'm where George is and on the full PPR leagues.
02:57He's going a little bit later than that, somewhere around the term, but there's actually a few
03:00running backs.
03:01I like more than Jonathan Taylor this year, but I'm kind of where George is on that same
03:05issue.
03:06Jonathan Taylor last year, again, disappointing season, I think overall.
03:10But I think the silver lining potentially is when you look at what Zach Moss was able
03:16to do in this offense with this offensive line, Zach Moss, a guy who was completely
03:21irrelevant for years in Buffalo, came in and all of a sudden was winning people weeks
03:24in fantasy.
03:25That at least bodes well for some upside in 2024 when it comes to Taylor, because Zach
03:29Moss is not a special running back.
03:31Jonathan Taylor is a much better talent, so you hope health, talent all comes together
03:37in a nice, perfect package in the 2024 season for the Colts.
