00:00The best way to sum it up is to try and be as objective as possible. We looked back seven
00:08days ago and I didn't think we were in a particularly good spot coming off the back of those games
00:12last week. I thought it was the polar opposite of what we saw at Charlton last week where
00:17we did run, we did compete, we did everything we possibly could to be in the game. I know
00:22that Leeds have walked off knowing that they're in a game of football today and we're really
00:26disappointed we haven't taken all three points. I think on balance Leeds will be disappointed
00:29they haven't won as well. They did create the better of a chances but we need to do
00:33everything in our power to make these games competitive and I thought we did that today.
00:36How have you performed psychologically? I know it's only the first game of the season
00:39but that belief you can take into Tuesday night and Luton next weekend?
00:43I think the bigger part of it is the performance. I think if we'd lost the game at the end to
00:47that chance that Leeds missed, the performance would have still been the same so we could
00:50have taken that belief into next week and really built on that. Particularly I keep
00:54mentioning it off the back of where we've got to in pre-season. Everything has clicked
00:58this week. We looked a lot sharper, we looked a lot better physically and we really grew
01:04into our own, particularly in the second half. Really, really pleased with a lot of aspects
01:08of today. We're going to be gutted that we haven't taken three points because of the
01:11nature of the goal as well where we did have the ball and turned it over but that's one
01:16of those things. We can learn from it and go again.
01:17Looking at the goals, what a moment for Elias Simonson and what a strike on his debut.
01:21Yeah, really good move. I think it was a second phase from a set-piece. We actually put our
01:24foot on the ball in the game and a brilliant pass that no-one really saw. I think Elias
01:29does what he's been doing over the past couple of years out in Denmark. He put his foot through
01:32the ball and back of the net on his debut. So, really pleased for him. I thought he was
01:38superb today in terms of his work rate and constantly going and going and going again
01:43and he got his rewards.
01:44Fantastic strike from Lange for the second and how calm he was for the penalty?
01:48Yeah, Lange's first goal was brilliant. I was much more pleased with him for the second
01:53goal. I know it was a penalty but he had a long time to wait. There were six Leeds
01:56players on the penalty spot. The goalkeeper was messing about and it took him a while
02:01to get back to his line. I think he had a couple of minutes to wait and that was a more
02:04pleasing thing to show the bravery and the calmness to be able to go and do that. It's
02:11something that you've got to be a leader to do and Callum took the ball, stepped up and
02:14scored the goal.
02:15Severo coming off at half-time, has he picked up a knock?
02:18No, he's fine. I just thought we were struggling a bit down that left-hand side and we needed
02:21a bit more energy and a bit more leg. Sammy's fine, he played his part and I think he'll
02:26keep improving for that.
02:27What's the situation with Cassini-Ingi?
02:29Cass picked up a bit of a groin injury in the week. Nothing too serious but a bit of
02:34a precaution. We knew we needed players that could run today and we didn't want to be carrying
02:39anyone so players that weren't 100 per cent we just decided to leave at home.
02:42So it's a precaution. You think he might be available for Tuesday?
02:45Quite possibly. More likely Saturday but I think maybe Tuesday if we've got half a chance.
02:49How is everyone else doing injury-wise? Anyone else you think will be back for Tuesday night?
02:53I don't think so in terms of the players we have out at the moment so it will be the same
02:57squad to select from.
02:58Same with Josh Murphy?
02:59Yeah, same with Josh.
03:00Cheers Jon.
03:01Cheers, thank you.
