00:00Hello friends, welcome to my channel, I am freelancer Madhvi and today we are going to
00:07learn how to solve an error related to Bank Reconciliation Statement.
00:14So first of all, you have to take out Bank Account Reconciliation from the screen.
00:25This name is Bank Account Reconciliation.
00:28Select and click.
00:30It will open.
00:32After that, you have to click on New.
00:34Now here you have to select Bank.
00:38There are many banks in this list.
00:41I will select the first one.
00:43Now the number of this statement, you can check that one of your statements must have been posted.
00:52So statement number 2 is coming.
00:55And if you think this is your first statement, then you have to check your bank account once.
01:02And in this, check the statement number on the screen that is inside the bank card.
01:11And when you get the statement number inside the bank card, it is here in the Posting tab.
01:17If this 2 or something else is coming and you want a special number, then follow a pattern.
01:26It will come according to that.
01:28Now I am setting it to 0.
01:30It will be 1 again.
01:32So there are 2-3 things that we have to learn how to correct things.
01:42So this one, delete it once.
01:48Click on New.
01:50Click on Giro.
01:52See, statement number.
01:55So you can control the statement number in the bank account card.
02:00You decide a number pattern there.
02:03And according to that, the next number statement will be generated.
02:08You can make the pattern alphanumeric.
02:11So what do we have to do now?
02:13Now the statement date of the bank.
02:16If your ledger entries are bank ledger entries.
02:20Now this is my on-premises version.
02:25That's why there are date issues.
02:27These date issues will not come in your system.
02:31So I am using the pattern of DDM1YY.
02:35And there are no entries in the current date.
02:38This is the educational version.
02:40On-premises.
02:41There are old entries.
02:42So you also have to check that if you are matching monthly.
02:46So bank ledger entries.
02:48Posted entries will be with this bank.
02:52You have to check that what are posted entries.
02:56Posted entries will be visible in the general tab.
02:59Bank ledger entries will be in the balance here.
03:03You can also search for bank ledger entries from the front page.
03:11Or you can also check the balance from here.
03:14So there are many options to check bank ledger entries.
03:17So these are all your bank ledger entries.
03:20Payments have been made.
03:21Which document number has been used.
03:24All that.
03:26How much was the amount?
03:28It came through the check.
03:29It was for office expenses.
03:31What was the dimension?
03:33Area code etc.
03:34Everything you have put is in it.
03:36Invoice related payments were made.
03:39All are date wise.
03:41So what you have to do is check this.
03:44In which ledger will it be posted?
03:47Which GL of the bank have you made in the chart of account?
03:52The bank account in the current assets.
03:57You must have put GL.
03:59You will get it here.
04:01GL of 2940 is there.
04:03So when it will be posted.
04:05In the current assets balance sheet.
04:09In the bank group.
04:12Liquid assets of 2940.
04:15It is made in the current assets.
04:17So you can check in this way.
04:19What is the correct information.
04:21Now come back.
04:22And name.
04:23Because the name is given here.
04:26You can also give the name of the bank here.
04:33So easily you can indicate.
04:35GL account number is connected to the chart of account.
04:37It will represent you horizontally in this way.
04:41Now let's go back.
04:43Bank ledger entries.
04:45Apart from that, these are bank ledger entries.
04:48The tab of the bank account will also be found in it.
04:51It is the same as you checked the balance.
04:53And if you have made a payment through check.
04:55You have generated a check manually.
04:57If you print it, you will get check ledger entries here.
05:00If any check ledger entries have been created in it.
05:03So its page is different.
05:05You can also check by searching through the page wise search box.
05:09Now let's come back to our statement.
05:13Now we have created a new statement line.
05:16You can create a new entry from the plus.
05:19You can click on the plus sign and click on new.
05:22Now when the bank account reconciliation is written here.
05:25The name of the bank is zero.
05:27And the number of the statement is one.
05:29Now you have seen its side tab.
05:31And now what we have to do.
05:33We have to do.
05:35So see in the starting when you create a new one.
05:38So the system gives a notification.
05:40That no bank statement has been imported on it.
05:43So you import it.
05:45Import electronic bank statements from your bank.
05:49To populate with data.
05:51About actual bank transaction.
05:54So your actual bank transaction.
05:56Which is a bank organization.
05:58The account you have in it.
06:00What happened there.
06:02You have to match it with it.
06:05In your company's ERP system.
06:08Which you have made a bank account.
06:11And the bank transaction you have done with it.
06:13So to match these two.
06:16We have created this card.
06:18In which we had made bank entries.
06:20As ledger entries.
06:22It is recorded in the bank card.
06:24Now we have taken the screen of the bank account reconciliation.
06:27Now the bank ledger entries.
06:29It is coming from this bank card.
06:31All the entries in this bank card.
06:33Until now you have not passed the reconciliation entry.
06:35So everything is in open status.
06:37All old.
06:39If you post monthly.
06:41It gets closed.
06:43Statement wise.
06:45So what we have to do.
06:47We are trying.
06:49This video is based on solving an error.
06:51When we import a bank entry.
06:53And related to it.
06:55We miss some prerequisites.
06:57We miss some conditions.
06:59So which error does it throw.
07:01We have to solve it.
07:03So the card of the bank.
07:05Click here.
07:07Import bank statement.
07:09And the line of the bank statement.
07:11It will come here.
07:13Now in this.
07:15Bank account ledger entries.
07:17This is inbuilt.
07:19Description.
07:21Statement amount.
07:23Applied amount difference.
07:25This is a standard.
07:27Table wise format.
07:29Page wise format.
07:31You can see it in this way.
07:33But you import.
07:35According to you.
07:37The columns that come on your bank statement.
07:39We design it and import it.
07:41I only took three columns.
07:43I only took three columns.
07:45Transaction date.
07:47Description.
07:49And.
07:51Amount.
07:53Statement amount.
07:55I will import data on these three columns.
07:57And for this.
07:59Import bank statement.
08:01Select a file to import.
08:03Choose.
08:05Now I have made a file.
08:07BIRS July month.
08:092024 Euro bank.
08:11See.
08:13File.
08:15Statement.
08:17Export import.
08:19Card.
08:21Setup.
08:23CSP file.
08:25Format.
08:27Data.
08:29Exchange definition.
08:31Format.
08:33Transaction date.
08:35Description.
08:37Amount.
08:39description text
08:42and the amount is in
08:45decimal format. So according to that format,
08:48your data is not in excel file, so excel cannot be
08:51imported here. So you have to OK
08:54and check your excel file.
08:57Now we will go and check the excel file.
09:00We will check the excel file which we have kept on the screen on the desktop.
09:03See, this is my excel file.
09:06Now I told you about 3 columns.
09:09So I have kept these 3 columns.
09:12What I have got from the bank? Transaction date, description
09:15and amount. Now error is coming
09:18even after all my setup.
09:21So what I have to do is this header
09:24in which I have written date, description and amount
09:27I have to delete the header.
09:30I don't want the header column.
09:33I don't want the heading. I just want the values.
09:36Now save it by pressing ctrl s.
09:39After saving, close it.
09:42Now we will go back to the system.
09:45And we will try to import it.
09:48Import PAM statement.
09:51Select a file to import.
09:54File will ask you.
09:57Now
10:00import it.
10:03So you have to put the latest date.
10:06If the statement date comes, it will take the auto.
10:09Because your work date will
10:12capture the auto.
10:15After that see
10:18all the data has come here.
10:21Check here.
10:31See this.
10:34All the date I had kept there
10:37from 7th,
10:40all the data has come here.
10:43It is all testing.
10:46Which columns I had taken?
10:49I had taken transaction date.
10:52I had taken description.
10:55And I had taken
10:58statement amount.
11:01I had decided only 3 columns.
11:04And now it cannot be matched because
11:07if you see the date, it is going according to 24 and 23.
11:10So the date is mismatched.
11:13So I will not automatically match it or manually.
11:16I was just solving the error.
11:19Now you just have to check
11:22which are the related setups.
11:25And where can you get them?
11:28So the bank account card
11:31you can edit and check.
11:34There are many tabs.
11:37Go to the transfer tab.
11:40It will be related to the transfer.
11:43So on the transfer tab,
11:46there is a field of bank statement import.
11:49It specifies the format of the bank statement file
11:52into this bank account.
11:55So you have to tell how to set up
11:58the format to be imported into this bank account.
12:01You have to take a code.
12:04And because it is on-premises,
12:07there is no option of direct details posting.
12:10But you can see that I have taken a code.
12:13I have given it a name and direction.
12:16And I will show you by editing the list.
12:19Processing Code Unit ID
12:22specifies the code unit that will be
12:25import the bank statement data.
12:28So if you click on this ID,
12:31it will tell you that it is related to
12:341270 Code Unit Exchange Launcher General.
12:37Its name is here.
12:40It is showing the name of the processing code unit.
12:43So I have taken this because I have to import it.
12:46I have defined the data exchange definition code.
12:49It specifies a code that represents
12:52the XML file with the data exchange
12:55definition that you have created in
12:58the data exchange framework.
13:01It is connected to me.
13:04After that, what is next?
13:07Next, we will install.
13:10You can see all these things.
13:14Now we will check the data exchange
13:17definition code.
13:20First, we checked the bank export import setup.
13:23Now we will check the data exchange definition.
13:26But you have to create the data exchange
13:29definition first.
13:32Only after that you can assign it to the
13:35bank export import setup.
13:38So we will search for data exchange
13:41definition.
13:44As soon as you do the data exchange
13:47definition, you will get this.
13:50Along with this, you will also get the
13:53bank export import setup.
13:56This will be designed last.
13:59First you have to design this.
14:02To design this, you have to click on new
14:05and then all the columns will be decided.
14:08Now all the columns will be set.
14:11You can see here that there is a
14:14list of class names that we are setting.
14:17If we scroll down, we can see that
14:20we have 3 class names.
14:23We have the name Welcome,
14:26welcome text, and
14:34the name of the class.
