00:00Hello everyone, my name is Paul Branson and I do many things.

00:16or something, I'm not really sure what it was.
00:20So now I'm on Dailymotion and I do various things, snacks, food, movies, talk with people
00:27at farmer's markets, a whole bunch of things.
00:30Now this I got at the farmer's market in Peterborough, Ontario at Lansdowne around the Memorial Centre.
00:37Now I bought several meats from them, they're called Supremium Meats, this one is called
00:43Supremium Meats Exotic Sticks and I've done various meats from them like kangaroo and
00:50crocodile that you can check on my channel as well, but today I am trying elk.
00:55And elk is actually very healthy for you, it gives you anti-toxins, if I'm saying that
01:00right because I also have pronunciation problems as well and sometimes I say words a little
01:04weird, but it's also good for the heart and I think it's also good for blood circulation.
01:10A lot of these exotic meats seem to be very similar in health benefits.
01:19So you get seven right there and they have a deal too and I think they change their prices,
01:24I think they might be changing their prices so I'm not going to mention the price.
01:28But basically these are sticks and in them is 120 calories, 12% fat, trans fat is 15,
01:36zero fibre, zero sugar, 17% sodium, I guess that's salt, potassium 3, I say sodium all
01:44time and I don't know what it is, I guess I'm just stupid, I should know and I think
01:48I do know, if someone told me I was like oh my word I do know, I'm just stupid, I forget
01:53what sodium is, how can I forget?
01:55And then cholesterol is 35 mg and yeah potassium is 3%, calcium is nothing and iron is 4.
02:04And basically it's pork with elk, salt, sugar, garlic, spices, sodium, starter, culture,
02:11natural smoke.
02:12So I'm going to open this up and Superior Meats is always at the market too and they
02:17have all sorts of other types of meats and salamis and stuff like that as well, plus
02:21the premium cheese and they have a farm, unfortunately I can't seem to interview anybody
02:27because the owner is never there, he doesn't do markets and they'll tell you that there
02:31too so it's no secret.
02:33So now I've got to open this up.
02:42You know I am so stupid not to bring, like I said to myself I'm bringing my knife, I'm
02:47bringing my knife and I'm like I didn't, so now it's my teeth.
02:54So now I'm going to pull one out if I can, come on out, I guess I have to make a bigger
03:09hole.
03:10Alright, here we go, jeez, I'll have to clean that mess up a little later, it's not that
03:27big of a mess but I don't like leaving any messes in the park.
03:38Geez, if I can't get this open I can't review, ah here we go, jeez, next time I guess I will
03:45bring my knife, I didn't realize this was going to be so hard, I'm dying to try it and
03:56I can't get it out, come on, seriously?
04:05They really pocket, now I have a pigeon looking at me, okay I'm sorry about this people, ah
04:23here we go, here we go, but now you know they really pocket.
04:31So that's it there, it doesn't seem rubbery, a little bit maybe, oh no, it opens up quite
04:37nicely, has a nice smell to it as you can see here, let's give it a try, it's a little
04:56bit chewy, I definitely haven't tasted anything like it before, so obviously I know I haven't
05:05had elk, elk is a type of deer I believe, and I know I've had deer before but maybe
05:11just not in this form, it's a bit greasy on my hands, that's really greasy, you have
05:39to really chew it, it seems to be kind of, not super hard but it's a little, I do like
05:52it though, you know, just because it actually does, it seems to be a little hard for me
06:10to swallow this too, so you really have to chew it, just because of that, and it is a
06:19bit chewy, it's good though, I do like it, yeah it's hard to swallow for me for some
06:35reason, I do like it, I like the taste, and it is a bit greasy, I give this a 7 out of
06:4610, but I do like it, I can't deny I don't, I will definitely eat these, it's flavorful,
06:55it has a unique taste that I've never tasted before, and apparently they're getting some
06:59other ones too that I will eventually try as well, alright everyone, elk, and remember
07:05bring a knife to open up the package, I had a heck of a time, now I'm just going to take
07:13a little bit more of this one, it's the same, so, no actually, I just like tasting a little
07:38bit more of the second one to see if it was the same, yes it was, a bit, you have to chew
07:46it really well, before you swallow, because I had a hard time swallowing it, and I don't
07:51have any water on me or anything, but overall, elk was quite good, I actually do enjoy it,
07:58and I actually, I probably would buy it again, a 7 out of 10 is a good number, alright check
