QLD teacher appears in court over historical abuse

A former Brisbane primary school teacher has been charged with dozens of historical child sex abuse offences. Police say the victims were aged between nine and 10-years-old at the time of the alleged offending.

00:53He was charged with 27 counts of indecent treatment of children under 16, 17 counts
01:00of taking a child for immoral purposes and five counts of common assault.
01:07Police say investigations are continuing and are urging anyone with information to come
01:12forward.
01:13Mr Kyser appeared in the Brisbane Magistrates Court this morning where he was released on
01:18bail with strict conditions including that he must report to police three times a week.
01:25The court heard that he'd been a school teacher for 43 years before he retired in 2020.
01:32He is due to appear in court again next month.
