00:00In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
00:08All praise is due to Allah, who has sent down the Book to His servant, and He has not made it crooked
00:16but upright, that He may warn of a severe punishment from Himself
00:22and give good news to the believers who do righteous deeds, that they will have a good reward
00:32And He warns those who say, Allah has taken a son
00:37They have no knowledge of it, nor do their fathers
00:43A great word comes out of their mouths, they say nothing but a lie
00:51Perhaps you will find yourself in their footsteps if they do not believe in this hadith, alas
00:59We have made what is on the earth an adornment for them, that We may test them which of them is best in deed
01:07And We will make what is on it a steep ascent
01:13Or do you think that the companions of the cave and the rubble were of Our signs in wonder?
01:20When the young men turned to the cave and said, Our Lord, give us mercy from Yourself and make easy for us the right course of our affair
01:31So We struck on their ears in the cave a number of years
01:36Then We raised them up that We may know which of the two parties is better for what they spent
01:43We relate to you their story in truth
01:47They are young men who believed in their Lord and We increased them in guidance
01:53And We tied on their hearts when they stood up and said, Our Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth
02:01We will not invoke besides Him a god. We said, then, openly
02:09These are a people who have taken besides Him gods
02:15Why do they not come to them with a clear authority?
02:21So who is more unjust than he who invents a lie against Allah
02:26And when you leave them and they worship none but Allah
02:31Then go to the cave, your Lord will spread for you from His mercy and will make easy for you the right course of your affair
02:43And you will see the sun, when it rises, move away from their cave to the right
02:49And when they go astray, you lead them to the left, and they are in a gap from it
02:55These are some of the signs of Allah
02:58Whoever Allah guides, he is the one guided
03:01And whoever He misguides, you will not find for him a rightful guardian
03:07And you think of them as awake while they are asleep
03:12And We will turn them to the right and to the left, and their dog will be spread out, its arms in the middle
03:21If you looked at them, you would have turned away from them, fleeing, and you would have been filled with fear
03:29And thus did We send them that they might question each other
03:34Some of them will say, How long have you stayed?
03:39They will say, We stayed a day or a part of a day
03:43They will say, Your Lord knows best how long you stayed
03:47So send one of you with this paper to Madinah
03:52Let him see which is the purest food
03:56So let him bring you provision from it, and let him be gentle, and let him make you not perceive anyone
04:04Indeed, if they appear to you, they will stone you or return you to their religion, and you will never succeed
04:19And thus did We send them that they might know that the promise of Allah is true, and that the Hour is in it no doubt
04:29When they disputed among themselves their affair, and they said, Build upon them a building
04:36Their Lord knows best about them
04:38Those who overcame said on their affair, We will surely take upon them a masjid
04:46And they will say, Three, the fourth of them is their dog
04:50And they will say, Five, the sixth of them is their dog, stoning in the unseen
04:57And they will say, Seven, the eighth of them is their dog
05:02Say, My Lord knows best in their number what only a few know
05:09And do not say of anything, Indeed, I will do that tomorrow, unless Allah wills
05:27And remember your Lord when you forget, and say, Perhaps my Lord will guide me to a more just way than this
05:36And they stayed in their cave three hundred years, and increased by nine
05:42Say, Allah knows best what they stayed in, to Him is the unseen of the heavens and the earth
05:49See with it and hear, they have no protector other than Him, and He does not associate anyone with Him in His judgment
05:59And recite what has been revealed to you of the Book of your Lord, there is no alteration to His words, and you will not find besides Him a refuge
06:10And be patient with yourself with those who call upon their Lord in the morning and in the evening, seeking His Face
06:19And do not turn your eyes away from them, seeking the adornment of this worldly life
06:25And do not obey one whom We have made heedless of his heart from Our remembrance, and followed his desire, and his affair was a failure
06:34And say, the truth is from your Lord, so whoever wills, let him believe, and whoever wills, let him disbelieve
06:44Verily, We have prepared for the wrongdoers a Fire, encircling them its chambers
06:51And if they seek to escape, they will be drowned in water like oil, burning their faces
06:59Evil is the drink, and evil is the reward
07:05Verily, those who believe and do righteous deeds, We do not waste the reward of one who does good
07:13Those will have the Gardens of Eden beneath which rivers flow, in which they will be adorned with bracelets of gold
07:36And they will wear green garments of fine silk and brocade, reclining therein on couches. Excellent is the reward and excellent is the reward
07:52And set forth for them the parable of two men. We made for one of them two gardens of grapevines, and We surrounded them with date-palms, and We made between them a field
08:08Both the gardens gave their fruits, and you did not do wrong to any of them, and We caused a river to flow through them
08:18And he had a fruit, and he said to his companion while he was talking to him, I am more perfect and more powerful than you
08:28And he entered his garden while he was wronging himself. He said, I do not think that this will ever perish
08:38And I do not think that the Hour will ever come, and if I am returned to my Lord, I will surely find better than it in return
08:49His companion said to him while he was talking to him, Do you disbelieve in the One who created you from dust, then from a sperm, then made you into a man
09:06But He is Allah, my Lord, and I associate no one with my Lord
09:12And if only, when you entered your garden, you said, Allah willed, there is no power except with Allah. If you see me, I am less than you in wealth and children
09:27So it may be that my Lord will give me better than your garden, and He will send upon it a cloud from the sky, and it will be like a sliding hill
09:44Or its water will be like a whirlpool, and you will not be able to ask for it
09:52And he was surrounded by his fruit, and he began to turn his hands over what he had spent on it while it was lying on its roofs, and he said, I wish I had not associated with my Lord anyone, and he had no party to help him besides Allah, and he was not able to help
10:18There is guardianship for Allah, the truth. He is the best in reward and the best in punishment
10:27And set forth for them the parable of the life of this world, as if We had sent it down from the sky, and the plant of the earth mixed with it, and it became hay, which the winds blow. And Allah is over all things competent
10:55Wealth and children are the adornment of the life of this world, and the good deeds are better with your Lord in reward and better in hope
11:12And the Day We will move the mountains, and you will see the earth exposed, and We will gather them, and We will not leave any of them, and they will be presented before your Lord in rows. You have come to Us as We created you the first time, but you claimed that We would not make for you an appointment
11:37And He placed the Book, and you see the criminals afraid of what is in it, and they say, Oh, woe to us, what is this book that does not leave a small one
12:03nor a large one, but He has enumerated them, and they found what they did present, and your Lord does not wrong anyone
12:16And when We said to the angels, prostrate to Adam, they prostrated, except Iblis, he was of the jinn, and he disobeyed the command of his Lord. Will you take him and his offspring as allies instead of Me, while they are to you an enemy? Evil is the replacement for the wrongdoers
12:42I did not witness to them the creation of the heavens and the earth, nor the creation of their souls, and I would not take the misguided as an ally
12:53And the Day they say, Call the partners of mine whom you claimed, and they will call them, but they will not respond to them, and We will put a barrier between them
13:07And the criminals saw the Fire, so they thought that they were going to fall into it, and they found no escape from it
13:18And indeed We have expounded in this Qur'an for the people every example, and the human being is most of all a disputant
13:30And what prevented the people from believing when guidance came to them and they asked forgiveness of their Lord, except that the way of the ancients should come to them, or the punishment should come to them readily
13:45And We do not send messengers except as bearers of good tidings and warners, and those who disbelieve dispute falsehood that they may deny the truth with it, and they take My verses and what they are warned of as mockery
14:00And who is more unjust than one who is reminded of the verses of his Lord, but turns away from them and forgets what his hands have sent forth? Indeed, We have placed a barrier over their hearts that they may not understand it, and in their ears is deafness
14:17And if you call them to guidance, then they will never be guided
14:22And your Lord is Forgiving, Possessor of Mercy. If He should take them for what they have earned, He would have hastened for them the punishment, but for them is an appointment that they will not find other than it
14:36And those cities We destroyed when they did wrong, and We made for their destruction an appointment
14:46And when Musa said to his son, I will not leave until I reach the junction of the two seas, or pass a period
14:54So when they reached the junction between the two, they forgot their fish, so he took his way in the sea, fleeing
15:03So when they passed, he said to his son, Bring us our breakfast. Indeed, we have received from our journey this provision
15:14He said, Did you see when we turned to the rock? Indeed, I forgot the fish, and only the devil made me forget to mention it, and he took his way in the sea, wondering
15:29He said, That is what we wanted, so he returned to his footprints, narrating
15:37So they found a servant of Our servants, We gave him mercy from Us, and We taught him knowledge from Ourself
15:48Musa said to him, Shall I follow you so that you may teach me from what you have been taught?
15:56He said, Indeed, you will not be able with me to be patient
16:01And how can you be patient on that which you have no knowledge of
16:06He said, You will find me, if Allah wills, patient, and I will not disobey you in any matter
16:14He said, Then if you follow me, do not ask me for anything until I give you from it a reminder
16:23So they set off, until, when they boarded the ship, he broke it
16:29He said, Did you break it to drown its people? You have come to a bad end
16:35He said, Did I not say, Indeed, you will not be able with me to be patient
16:41He said, Do not take me for what I have forgotten, and do not make difficult for me my affair
16:48So they set off, until, when they met a boy, he killed him
16:57He said, Did you kill a pure soul without a soul? You have come to a bad end
17:06He said, Did I not say, Indeed, you will not be able with me to be patient
17:13He said, If I ask you for anything after this, do not accompany me, you have reached from me an excuse
17:23So they set off, until, when they came to the people of a town, they fed its people, but they refused to host them
17:34So they found in it a wall that wanted to collapse, so he erected it
17:41He said, If you wanted, you would have taken a reward for it
17:45He said, This is the separation between me and you, I will tell you the meaning of what you could not be patient
17:54As for the ship, it belonged to poor people who worked in the sea
18:00So I wanted to repair it, and there was behind them a king who took every ship by force
18:09And as for the boy, his parents were believers, so we feared that he would incite them to transgression and disbelief
18:19So we wanted to replace them with their Lord, better than him in purity and closer to mercy
18:27And as for the wall, it belonged to two orphan boys in the city, and beneath it was a treasure for them
18:37And their father was righteous, so your Lord intended that they reach maturity and extract their treasure as mercy from your Lord
18:50And I did not do it on my own, that is the interpretation of what you could not be patient
19:00And they ask you about Dhul-Qarnayn. Say, I will recite to you from him a reminder
19:09Indeed, We established for him on the earth, and We gave him of everything a way, so he followed a way
19:22Until, when he reached the setting of the sun, he found it setting in a boiling spring, and he found with it a people
19:33We said, O Dhul-Qarnayn, either you punish, or you take in them good
19:44He said, as for the wrongdoer, we will punish him, then he will be returned to his Lord, and He will punish him a repulsive punishment
19:57And as for he who believes and does righteousness, for him is a good reward
20:06And We will say to him, of Our command, easily. Then he followed a way
20:14Until, when he reached the setting of the sun, he found it rising upon a people whom We had not made a cover for them
20:30Thus it was, and We surrounded him with what he had of knowledge. Then he followed a way
20:39Until, when he reached between the two mountains, he found besides them a people who could hardly understand a word
20:50They said, O Dhul-Qarnayn, indeed, Ya'juj and Ma'juj are corrupting in the land, so shall we make for you an expense that you make between us and them a barrier
21:06He said, that in which my Lord has established me is better, so help me with strength that I may make between you and them a barrier
21:18Give me sacks of iron. Until, when he had balanced between the two mountains, he said, Blow it
21:29Until, when he had made it a fire, he said, Give it to me, I will pour upon it fire
21:37So they could not make it appear, nor could they make a cover for it
21:44He said, This is a mercy from my Lord. So when the promise of my Lord came, He made it a barrier. And the promise of my Lord was true
22:01And We left some of them, that Day, to waver among themselves, and the trumpet was blown, and We gathered them together
22:12And We presented Hell, that Day, to the disbelievers as a display
22:18Whose eyes were in cover from My remembrance, and they could not hear
22:29Did those who disbelieved think that they would take My servants as allies besides Me?
22:48Indeed, We have prepared Hell for the disbelievers as a descent
22:54Say, Shall We inform you of the losers in deeds
23:00Those whose effort has been lost in the life of this world while they think that they are doing good
23:10Those are the ones who disbelieved in the signs of their Lord and in meeting Him, and their deeds were in vain, so We will not establish for them a weight on the Day of Resurrection
23:27That is their recompense, Hell, because they disbelieved and took My signs and My messengers as a mockery
23:38Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds, for them will be the gardens of Paradise as a descent
23:48Abiding therein, they will not desire from it any change
23:54Say, If the sea were an addition to the words of my Lord, the sea would have passed away before the words of my Lord had passed away, even if We brought with it the like of it
24:09Say, I am only a human being like you. It is revealed to me that your god is only one god
24:21So whoever hopes to meet his Lord, let him do righteous deeds and not associate anyone with the worship of his Lord
