The state of UK roads
Six-in-ten motorists believe that local roads in Europe are in better condition than those in the UK. How do you find the roads in the UK compared to those abroad? Would you consider driving in another country, and why or why not? How crucial do you think it is to upgrade the UK's road network?

00:24here, our roads, there are some roads that are fine, that are stunning, but there are
00:28some that are just totally overlooked. I find that driving in Europe is often a similar
00:35experience but I would say better on the whole. Driving in Europe is a lot better on the whole.
00:44Improving the road network, I haven't so much got a foot in as much as improving things
00:48for pedestrians, making more walkable cities and for public transport like buses a lot
00:55more of a priority than cars.
