00:00The excitement here is through the roof the City of Angels officially now the
00:04next Olympic City. This Airbus A350 carrying home Team USA athletes, the
00:09mayor of LA and of course the star of the show the Olympic flag. Officials here
00:13saying Paris set a high bar but that they're confident that LA can pull it
00:17off. No pressure. Let me tell you what, Paris was a great success and that
00:21success is transferring to us here in LA for LA 28. You can see the crowds, you can
00:27feel the excitement. The closing ceremony yesterday was amazing. You saw
00:30the the video with Tom Cruise. The talent is there, the excitement is there and the
00:35city is going to come alive. We've been working hard, right? We have operational
00:38plans in place, we've worked on our venues, we understand what we need to do
00:41and now it's it's time to get all that in motion and get all that in gear.
00:45The biggest plan I will sign within the next couple of weeks an executive
00:49directive paying attention to our infrastructure to make sure our streets
00:53and everything else are prepared because we have a lot of work to do on
00:56so many different levels. Los Angeles was chosen at the same time as Paris. That
01:01gives the city four additional years to prepare for these games but a lot of
01:05challenges remain. The biggest among them, transportation. The mayor Karen Bass said
01:09she wants car-free games. That was met with some skepticism here in California.
