00:11Incidents have been reported in Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire where elderly
00:16people about to take money from a cash machine have been approached by a man who told them the
00:20ATM was broken before covering the screen with a newspaper and then stealing the cash.
00:26A Derbyshire Police spokesperson said,
00:28A 26-year-old man has been arrested in connection with these incidents.
00:31He has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
00:35We have received reports of incidents occurring in Derby, Ilkeston and Ashbourne but we are keen
00:40to hear with anyone who may have been a victim of a similar offence as well as anyone with any

00:58A record-breaking £341,000 was raised for Ashgate Hospice through this year's Chesterfield
01:04Sparkle Night Walk, the charity's bigger ever annual fundraising event. More than 3,400 people
01:10wore pink and flashing bunny ears on the 10km walk in Chesterfield and surrounding area back in June.
01:15The total raised was £341,854, the most the walkers have ever raised after smashing the
01:22record of £317,000 sat last year. Jake Wood who is Director of Income Generation at Ashgate
01:29Hospice said, We are incredibly grateful for the efforts and support that will go a long way
01:34towards funding end-of-life care and support for patients and their families across North Derbyshire.
01:39This could fund the care of one of the beds in our inpatient unit at the hospice for more than a year,
01:44giving patients 24-7 expert care when they need it most.
