00:00The Department of Finance, or DOF, reported the Marcus Jr. administration earned its first
00:05credit rating upgrade of A-, with stable outlook from BBB+, from Japan-based Rating and Investment
00:11Information Incorporated, or RNI.
00:14According to Finance Secretary Ralph Recto, this showed creditors and investors have a
00:19high level of confidence in President Ferdinand R. Marcus Jr.'s management of the economy.
00:24Meanwhile in its report, the RNI cited the country's macroeconomic stability, high economic
00:29growth path, and continuous improvement in fiscal balance as key factors for the upgrade.
