00:00Oh man it was so intense I didn't want to cry but I couldn't I couldn't keep
00:15the tears in my head. You wear this yellow jersey again what does it
00:23represent for you? It's such an iconic jersey so I'm really proud I have it
00:29already and yeah it just happened.
00:35It's not a big surprise I would say but it was really impressive
00:38because she gave a lot of time to everyone even to girls like
00:41Digert for example so bravo to her, it was impressive.
00:44Can we expect a battle for the GC today with all the favourites of the GC?
00:50Yeah I think everybody who lost a little bit of time yesterday for sure they
00:55want to try to race hard and yeah try to force something in the general maybe
01:02already so we will see. It's a really a nice parcours and I think it will be the
01:06first GC day so will be really a spectacular day.
01:10Will you be on the front? Yeah I will try it will be hard because I think so much
01:16people want this jersey today we will try and let's see what it brings.
01:22My goal is more like to be a really good helper to be there for the team
01:27whenever they need me as long as possible for as many climbs as possible
01:30and then hopefully they make a good and fast finish.
01:33Grace Brown wins the sprint for FDJ Suez.
01:37With in the team the winner of Liège-Bastogne-Liège Grace Brown this year, is it an advantage?
01:42Yes of course we arrive with a little bit of confidence and we are really ultra
01:45motivated, we are the last team to cross the line so clearly we have a
01:51really strong team and we will try to gain some time in the GC and try to get this win.
01:56There will be a battle to take the escape with a lot of girls and then there will be
02:00a nice battle for the GC. I think we can expect a lot of scenarios but in any case
02:05in the final it will be hard and we will have to be strong.
02:07The rain is falling it's a typical day in Belgium I suppose you would say it's
02:27quite grim and grey and that's what Belgian racing is all about.
02:321.13 is the advantage for Sarah Martine, she is the rider who is from the team of Movistar.
02:40Rider who's been mainly at the front on those climbs and getting involved in all the action
02:46has been Silvia Persico so she's secured seven nine points in the classification.
02:56The Movistar rider Martin crossing the intermediate sprint line first for the max 25 points
03:02but soon it was a fight between the star Dutch trio of Kool, Weebus and Vos.
03:09Charlotte Kool, Lorena Weebus, Marianne Vos flat out for this finish line oh whoa whoa whoa
03:15a little bit of move across the road but Charlotte Kool is the fastest sprinter in this race.
03:22The acceleration of the team trains placed the sprinters but dropped a few riders. Grace Brown
03:27won in Liege back in April but was one of those struggling now
03:31then the race came to an abrupt halt.
03:35Ah there's a train ah level crossing so you'll take the time gaps that are existing now and
03:42that's how the riders are going to be started again. Martin allowed to re-establish her lead
03:49but soon blew up on Montreux. Bennett de Koenig though the driving force with a chance to really
03:57make their mark. We have high expectations with GC so today is the first day that is really
04:03important for that. Here we go now with this sprint so it's Yara Kastelin who's going to go
04:09for the maximum points at the top of this climb and Kastelin gets it. Just 10 kilometers to catch
04:15their breath before 11 percent up the Côte de la Redoute. It left some behind only the strongest
04:22would survive. Bennett de Koenig's strong showing set young Puck Piresse over first with Demi
04:29Follering and Kasia Niewiadoma for company. Silvia Perisco looking unlikely to hold on to the virtual
04:36queen of the mountain jersey earned earlier. Cat and mouse as they arrived on the Côte de Forge
04:41but Justine Guckieri kicked to take max points over the summit and tried to stay out in front
04:48but her cause was cut short. Here goes an attack and it comes from Kasia Niewiadoma.
04:56Into the final four kilometers and the leaders would extend their gap thanks to their superb
05:01descending skills. They couldn't decide what to do. Follering didn't want to ride but with the
05:08chasing pack full of GC contenders the yellow jersey decided to put pedal to the metal.
05:14Roy Yakker's drop leaving three to fight it out but who would fire the first shot?
05:21Oh big attack, huge attack of Niewiadoma and Follering has to close it and that plays into
05:27the hands of Puck Piresse. 600 meters to go. Niewiadoma is kicking all the way for the finish
05:34line. Here goes Puck Piresse. Now Follering kicks. Puck Piresse are all the way to the line and the
05:40colors of Fenix Deceuninck. Follering kicks hard. Follering all the way in the yellow jersey.
05:46Photo finish.
05:50Here's the run-in for the group behind. 28 seconds a group of Juliet Labusse loses.
05:57There's the photograph. Oh she took it. Puck Piresse wins her first ever road victory.
06:11It's quite unbelievable actually. Yeah I don't know the last few days I had super good legs.
06:18First day I had good legs, second day I had good legs and today I didn't feel my legs at all.
06:29To take the win here in a sprint against Demi that's really a dream come true.
06:35No mean feat to hold off the reigning champion in yellow. Puck Piresse saving her first road
06:40victory for the biggest stage and at 22 the youngest to win a stage on the tour. Beats it to
06:46the line but Follering extends her overall advantage. The top trio rewarded with bonus
06:52seconds too. Piresse second with Niewiadoma up to third. Charlotta Cole did her hard graft at the
06:58Piresse second with Niewiadoma up to third. Charlotta Cole did her hard graft at the
07:04intermediate sprint ahead of Vos and Vavis to protect her cushion in green.
07:09Piresse climbing means she's the current queen of the mountain
07:13and a perfect Fennick de Koenig day. Their young gun best under 23 rider too.
07:19Stage five will begin in Bastogne but it's a 152.5 kilometer ride home for the race
07:26back on French soil for the first time at this Tour de France Fab.
