Transcript
00:00Peace be upon you, Pakistan is now 78 years old.
00:05First of all, listen to the voice that reminds every Pakistani of how thousands, lakhs, mothers, sisters, daughters and young people were sacrificed.
00:22And how this country gave people freedom.
00:26This is the voice that has a lot of sacrifices, blood, and hard work behind it.
00:38Peace be upon you, Pakistan Broadcasting Service.
00:45We are speaking from Lahore.
00:48The night between 13th and 14th August, 1947 is 12 o'clock.
00:56The dawn of freedom.
01:00The dawn of freedom.
01:02Obviously, a long journey before freedom and a long journey after freedom.
01:08Baba Iqam Muhammad Ali Jinnah had realized this and this.
01:14You listen to how he said in his first speech, the summary of which was that he saw all the hard work and sacrifices with his own eyes.
01:28Sacrifices were made to reach the moment of freedom.
01:33But despite seeing all that, he said in those moments that the amount of hard work, sacrifices, and sacrifices that have been made so far,
01:42the same or perhaps more than that will be needed to maintain the blessing of this freedom.
01:48See what Baba Iqam Muhammad Ali Jinnah had said.
01:53Peace be upon you, brothers and sisters.
02:01We have made a lot of sacrifices to achieve Pakistan.
02:13But to maintain Pakistan, we have to make more sacrifices.
02:23Muslims do not hesitate in difficulties.
02:35Our courage is high.
02:42Long live Pakistan.
02:46It seems that there is a person who knows all the stages of freedom and what stages will be presented in the future.
02:54That is why, whether it is about civil-military balance, whether it is about unity, whatever it is, he said a lot at that time.
03:03For example, on 15 June 1948 in Quetta, Bani Pakistan said,
03:08We are all Pakistanis. None of us are Sindhi, Balochi, Bengali, Pathan, or Punjabi.
03:13We should be proud of being Pakistani.
03:16And on 28 December 1948 in Dhaka, he said,
03:19You have the power to give power to a government or you have the power to overthrow a government.
03:24But it is not right to use the method of oppression for this.
03:28You will have to understand the system to learn how to use your power.
03:31If you are not satisfied with a government, then the constitution gives you the power to overthrow a government.
03:36Therefore, this action should be carried out in a regular manner.
03:41Today is the day of freedom in Pakistan.
03:44There are many questions, many desires, many obligations, many messages, many thoughts, and many worries.
03:55This is a collection of all this where we are standing today.
03:58Let's start with this prayer.
04:00It is natural for all of us, whether it is in terms of religion, religion, language, or ethnicity,
04:09that everyone will have to bow down to one side or the other.
04:14But let's make a promise that when it comes to Pakistan,
04:20then all the ethnic background, language background, province background,
04:27all these things will come together in one thing in Pakistan.
04:32So that the moon is bright, the star is shining, and the highest flag is ours.
04:38On the day of freedom in Pakistan, I welcome you all once again with this prayer
04:44that may Allah make our nation better than last year.
