00:00There's a lot of wire work, so there's a lot of physical exhaustion, a lot of core strength
00:06that I don't naturally have.
00:11Those I think, the combination of the long shoot and the physical exhaustion sort of
00:16get to you sometimes, but we all got along really well and had each other's back, so
00:21the support was all there.
00:23This is a really good blend of, it's an alien franchise film, but it really feels like a
00:27new generation.
00:28Were there any pinch me moments for yourself where you're like, whoa, look what the franchise
00:31was stepping into?
00:32Any real momentous occasions?
00:34Well, I think having the original special effects team, the practical team behind the
00:41xenomorph and the face huggers and the chest bursters, to have them there and have them
00:46saying things like, I remember when Sigourney, and you're like, no, I know, so much pressure.
00:53That was really surreal, but also really beautiful to bring that team back together
00:58again and sort of have an alien reunion on set.
01:01I think you can see in all the departments in this movie how much love and care was brought
01:06into this film, and Fede made sure that the people he brought on really cared about it.
01:11Or there were people who had a relationship with this franchise beforehand, so you really
01:17felt that the whole time, and hopefully that comes across on screen.
01:20Obviously you play Rain, who is her own character, but there are elements and vibes of Ripley
01:25there.
01:26You mentioned Sigourney Weaver, you're trying to channel your inner Sigourney at times.
01:29I had her performance playing on loop the whole time I was filming, hoping that something
01:35about her would seep in.
01:37There wasn't anything in particular I was trying to mimic, but I've said this before,
01:44but I think what Sigourney did in those films, and the way that she sort of went against
01:50the clichés of women and horror, I think sort of gave me, weirdly, space to inject
01:56myself and my ideas, which I really appreciate, and I have a lot to thank her for.
