00:00Yo, what's up? This is Cash Cobain and here's how it went down on For Sure Remix with Ice Spice and Bass Rhyme.
00:17The studio session had a lot of females in it.
00:19You know, the beat, not angry or sad, you know, just a little nice vibe, a nice summertime vibe.
00:25So I was thinking about, you know, a summer day, you know, you want it to a girl, you know.
00:29She all light, she got a little attitude, but she bad, you know what I'm saying?
00:33So I was like, you gotta stay calm with her.
00:36Me and Bass Rhyme, we was in the studio.
00:41I had called him, like, meet me at the studio right now.
00:44I'm about to have a studio session.
00:46He was there before I got there, you know what I'm saying?
00:48So Ice Spice was the perfect fit, you know what I'm saying?
00:52I just felt like we all young, like we fresh, like we new to the game.
00:58Like we all around the same age.
01:01It made the most sense, you know what I'm saying?
01:03She from New York, I'm from the Bronx, she from the Bronx.
01:06I like the sound she went for.
01:08Like, she did like the whole, the whole canister out there on some sexy drill shit.
01:13So it was like, she was doing baddie drills, so it was like sexy drill, baddie drills,
01:17you know what I'm saying?
01:18It's like they met up and it was perfect.
01:20We wasn't in the studio together.
01:22She sent the verse back.
01:24When she sent the verse back, I was like, yeah, this the one right here, you know what I'm saying?
01:28I loved it.
01:28I was blessed.
01:33We wanted to give it that New York feel.
01:35Like I said, it was like a summertime vibe.
01:37Obviously the video wasn't like a summertime vibe, it was cold that day.
01:40But yeah, we wanted to give it that New York feel.
01:42Like, what's better than the New York feel than to be at the Chinese store, you know what I'm saying?
01:46Like, if you're from New York, that's like a hood staple.
01:49They had kicked us out of the Chinese store.
01:51The police, it got too overwhelming for the police.
01:53So we just relocated to the next spot.
01:56I'm at a bridge type shit.
02:02My boy Sick, he was having like this party for his label.
02:05There was a lot of people there.
02:07He has a studio and the whole label thing.
02:10So I just walked in on Jiggy and I'm like, fuck boy, I'm making a beat.
02:17For sure a beat.
02:19So you know me, I had to add my little two cents to it, you know what I'm saying?
02:22I had like a thing or two.
02:23During recording the actual song, I made my engineer loop the beginning where there was no beat.
02:31That's why the beat drops all the way in the middle of the song.
02:34Because I didn't want to hear the beat drop at all.
02:37It came in too fast on the original beat.
02:40So I had to cut it.
02:46That song was one of them ones.
02:47Just the way I started off on a beat, you know what I'm saying?
02:51Just the way I looped the beginning to where the beat drops in the middle.
02:55I knew it was different, you know what I'm saying?
02:56I knew it was the one.
02:57My favorite part about being in the studio, and this is very important,
03:01is that loud-ass speakers.
03:04If the speaker's not loud, I don't even want to be in that studio no more.
03:08I like blasting my music, hearing it in my foot, in my body.
03:12I want to feel the vibrations from the speaker.
03:17It sounded sexy though, so I knew it was some sexy shit.
03:20I didn't know it was going to be like that.
