00:00Well hello again, it's Alex Miller here for the Sheffield Star. A couple of hours
00:04after Sheffield Wednesday just played out a 2-1 Carabao Cup first-round win
00:08here at Hull City. There was a bit of chaos in there wasn't there? The first ten minutes in
00:14particular, 2-1 by the time the 11th minute had come around. Charlie McNeill
00:19with both goals for Sheffield Wednesday. The first one, well it was within 20 seconds
00:25and it was about the most archetypal roll goal you could imagine. The ball was
00:30one up high, Paul Valentin broke fast and sharp cross for Michael Smith who
00:36backheeled into McNeill's pass and what a great finish.
00:40Rolfe spoke afterwards about the fact that this was effectively Wednesday's
00:45second string. 11 changes made and they've given him some food for thought
00:49going forward in terms of who's ready. There wasn't really a bad performance out
00:54there. As I say, it was a lot of fun. This lot do seem like they're going to be a
00:59lot of fun. Spoken an awful lot about the changes in the style of play, the
01:03advancement of what Daddy Real wants to do with this Wednesday side and in the
01:08two games so far, we've seen lots of it. Hull were alright, they were a little bit
01:13open. Both teams were open, both teams had their chances and how it ended 2-1
01:20in the end. Certainly with 80 minutes without a goal or thereabouts, no one
01:25really knows. As I say, Wednesday it's through to the next round. Grimsby Town are the
01:29opponents on a trip down to Blundell Park and a good opportunity I think to
01:33sneak into the third round when the big boys enter the fray.
