00:00The Bureau of Internal Revenue filed a tax evasion case against former Bamban Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo.

00:06According to the BIR, Luis Eriz Pesa reported that Guo did not pay half a million pesos for the tax evasion.

00:16Even though Bamban Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo has been removed from being a mayor,

00:21the lawsuit against the former mayor is not yet over.

00:24Aside from numerous complaints from the Comedic, Office of the Solicitor General, and the Senate,

00:31there were two more complaints filed by the Department of Justice against Guo.

00:35The Bureau of Internal Revenue filed a tax evasion complaint against Guo

00:40because he did not pay half a million pesos when he sold his shares in Baofu Land Development Inc.

00:48According to Commissioner Romeo Lumagi Jr.,

00:50Guo did not pay half a million pesos for the tax evasion.

00:55We saw that he said that he sold his shares in this corporation.

01:01We also saw that he did not pay the tax evasion for the transfer of his shares.

01:08But the BIR believes that there is a bigger tax problem behind this.

01:49even if Guo is dismissed, the prosecutors will continue to file complaints against him

02:16Guo's camp immediately responded.

02:19In a statement, Guo's lawyer said that when it comes to the tax evasion complaint,

02:24they haven't seen it yet, but they are ready to answer the complaint.

02:28While Guo is being dismissed from Ombudsman,

02:31their camp will appeal in the Court of Appeals.

02:35Meanwhile, the Commission on Elections said that even if Guo's camp appeals the decision for them,

02:42they will immediately implement the perpetual disqualification against the former mayor.

02:47If Guo submits a Certificate of Heritage for the upcoming 2025 elections,

02:53it will be automatically canceled.
