00:00Suddenly, when they take your floor away, it becomes a challenge for your emotions, for your mind.
00:06So I would tell that Carlos, calm down, breathe and keep going because you have worked hard and you have worked a lot and you have people who love you.
00:15Between all those months, both Vanessa and Leon gave me a lot of faith, but also the public.
00:21Behind the social networks, the team of Despierta America had a very particular energy and the one here is totally different.
00:31Thank you, I am very happy, Manu. It is a goal that few people reach and I feel that for me it is representative of so many years of work.
00:44I started almost 25 years ago in Telemundo, in a program called Buscando Pareja that we did in Los Angeles.
00:53Then a 360-degree cycle is fulfilled and with a very empowered and well-established company that I think has a serious commitment to our audience and it makes me very happy to be part of that.
01:09I feel that sometimes faith escapes from your hands when you feel so many challenges in front of you, but faith is that, right?
01:19Feeling in advance, sure that everything will be fine, knowing that when a door closes it is because a better one is coming.
01:28I think that more than anything, because of being a father, which makes you so sensitive to life, suddenly having the floor taken away from you becomes a challenge for your emotions, for your mind.
01:41So I would tell that Carlos, calm down, breathe and move on, because you have worked hard and you have worked a lot and you have people who love you.
01:51And during all those months, both Vanessa and Leon gave me a lot of faith, but also the public behind social networks, which is really a blessing to have that.
02:01Because when they didn't exist, I don't know how people found out that there was an audience that missed them.
02:07And for me it has been magical, because they made me realize that my message had been clear and lasting and that there were opportunities.
02:17And that's why I started my podcast, that's why I was still active on social media, and that's why finally I think a door opened for me, and now I'm very, very happy.
02:28But yes, definitely, I think it's my experience, I think it's the experience of many.
02:34We are now in a very difficult time in the United States, many jobs are being lost, many companies are closing.
02:43And there must be many in much more difficult situations than mine.
02:48And my message would be the same for them, which I have given myself.
02:52Have faith and move on, never lose hope.
02:59I would like to focus more on a character of professional leadership.
03:04I feel that for many years I had a philosophy of trying to be a part of the equation.
03:16Now I would like to be a leader in this equation and try to lead a team on a path that for me is very clear from the experience I have.
03:25I feel that I have the support, I feel that I have the confidence, I feel that I have the door open.
03:30And I would like to take the program and, with the help of all my colleagues, make a program that people continue to look for, continue to have as a reference of information, of entertainment.
03:43As I was saying, these years that I spent outside the cameras were years where the United States has changed a lot.
03:51I believe that Hispanics, all of us, from those who have just arrived to those who have been here for years, we have seen very important changes and even more important elections are coming.
04:02And for me it is very important to be part of it, to feel part of it and to feel like someone to trust, to find information, optimism, the desire to continue fighting and to continue representing ourselves in front of this great country.
04:19So for me, the expectation is to use today and the whole team as a tool to be able to bring to Hispanics a message that empowers us a lot as a community.
04:32And from there to the real, you never know, I think that continues.
04:37When I joined the company, they asked me the same thing, what I would like to do.
04:41And I said, hey, I would also love to get a little closer to the American market, that we are not like those from there and those from here, but that we are one, because there are Hispanic Americans, there are Hispanics from the second, third generation who no longer speak Spanish, and I think we all still have our roots well buried.
05:00So I would like to see those changes. Hopefully I am a part of this so that this can become a reality.
05:12Well, I can tell you the similarities. I think we are both looking for the same audience. I think the audience is looking for a morning format.
05:21I have understood this schedule as an indispensable schedule for families who are preparing to go to work, preparing for the children to go to school, where you do not have time to be on social media because you are preparing the sandwich, dressing up, bathing.
05:36So you become part of the families. As for the differences, well, obviously the energy is different. The wake up America team had a very particular energy, and the one from here is totally different.
05:50Thank God there is a lot of talent on both sides, and I have been able to take advantage of my ability to merge with the energies of different talents.
06:03And here it has been incredible to meet people like Danny Arenas, like Chiqui, like Andrea, like Penelope, who I saw on television for so many years, and to be able to add to their energy and do something like that.
06:18So I think that although the format is the same, the energy is what I could tell you is different. We are teams that I think have a similar vision, but a different goal, and obviously it is competition.
06:34Healthy, if you want, but in the end you tell them that it is a business and we want to be the best.
