00:00Today is results day, so I'm just going to answer a couple of quick questions for you
00:03to show that there's no reason to worry. Now, if you've failed to reach the grades that
00:06you need for your university, there's still the option to go through clearing, which essentially
00:09means calling the universities you're interested in to try and get a place there. All the information
00:13you need is on the UCAS website, so head over there to find out more on that. Now, if you
00:17want or need to reset anything, there are slightly different options. For GCSE English
00:20Language and GCSE Maths, you can reset in November. For everything else, I'm afraid
00:24you're going to need to wait until next year. Now, if you're interested in getting something
00:27remarked, you'll need to talk to your teachers and lecturers who will be able to advise you
00:30on the best course of action. This process will usually take a couple of weeks, so if
00:33your university place relies on a grade going up, give them a call to explain what's happening.
00:37Finally, if the process has made you realise that uni isn't for you, there's a couple of
00:41options. The first is to defer your place. If you've achieved the grades that you need,
00:44you can just call the uni up and say, I want to just wait a year and they'll hold the place
00:47for you. The second is apprenticeships. If you've decided that uni really isn't for you
00:51and you really haven't got the grades that you were after, go around your local area,
00:54check online, there'll be some apprenticeships that do things that you will enjoy and you
00:57can continue your education while doing something practical too.
