00:00Hey, it's People in Penn, and this first story has me seeing red, white, and blue.
00:09Jordan Childs is officially losing her bronze medal, y'all.
00:12I need to know if there's any hope left.
00:14Let's call Sean.
00:15Hey, Mako.
00:16What's up?
00:17Hey, Sean.
00:18Tell us it ain't true.
00:19Sadly, it is true.
00:20It looks like Jordan Childs is going to be giving back the bronze medal after a ruling
00:26came down from the Court of Arbitration for Sport that ended up denying the United States
00:30appeal after this wild back and forth over her final score.
00:34Take me back to Jordan's routine.
00:36Why is this even a question?
00:38So Jordan initially got fifth place after her routine, and then they ended up bumping
00:42her up to third place when her coach challenged that score.
00:45However, then the court says now that her coach's challenge came in four seconds too
00:50late.
00:51All this over four seconds?
00:52Yeah.
00:53Four seconds.
00:54The court did state that they have 60 seconds to challenge a judge's panel score.
00:58This means that her coach's challenge is supposedly invalid, and she must return the medal.
01:03But there is a twist.
01:04USA Gymnastics claims that they have conclusive video evidence that the inquiry was made in
01:08time.
01:09So shouldn't that mean that Jordan will get her medal back?
01:12Most likely no.
01:13The court says that a decision made, it cannot be revisited, even if there's conclusive
01:18new evidence that's presented.
01:20What's even worse is that this negates that first historic all-black podium in gymnastics
01:24that we saw at the Olympics.
01:25You know Sean, that was my favorite moment of the Olympics.
01:29At least we'll always have the photo.
01:31Well thank you for the info.
01:32I'll talk to you later.
01:33No problem.
01:34See you later, Mako.
01:35Bye.
01:36Okay, I know we've all been watching this It Ends With Us drama, the tea is hot, and
01:40honey, here's what you need to know.
01:42So Justin Boldoni starred, directed, and produced the film, and Blake Lively starred and produced
01:47as well.
01:48But Justin has been pretty M.I.A. from promoting the movie with the group, and there's really
01:52been no mention of him from Blake on the press tour, so you know I got people talking.
01:57Apparently the behind-the-scenes issues brewing between them were bigger than just alleged
02:02creative differences.
02:03A source says all is not what it seems, and that even the principal cast and the book's
02:08author Colleen Hoover will have nothing to do with him.
02:11What?
02:12Fans seemingly have Justin's back though, with many saying they appreciate how he's
02:16been the only one addressing a major theme of the book, domestic violence.
02:20And later, we'll hear from Brandon Sklenar, who didn't have a bad thing to say about
02:24his co-star.
02:25He was great.
02:27Very interesting.
02:28Well, Prince William is doing a little experimenting with a brand new look, and it's making things
02:33kinda hairy.
02:35So Princess Kate popped up with her man in a video celebrating Team Great Britain at
02:39the Paris Olympics, and William surprised us all with his new facial hair.
02:43Personally, I kinda like it.
02:45A more laid-back future king.
02:47But it's complicated, because Prince Harry claims in his book that his brother told him
02:51to shave off his own beard for his wedding to Meghan Markle.
02:55Harry kept it in the end, but it caused some tension between them.
02:58Also, side note, I love seeing Kate amid her cancer treatment wearing a ring that William
03:03gave her back when they were dating in college.
03:06Young love.
03:09Hannah Montana fans got a treat this week, when Miley Cyrus made history as the youngest
03:13Disney legend ever.
03:14Our girl was honored at a D23 event in front of thousands of adoring fans.
03:19A few tears were shed as she said her thank yous, and threw it back to her beloved character.
03:23To quote the legend herself, this is the life.
03:27Not long ago, Miley even hinted at bringing the character back when she joked about being
03:31ready at all times to whip out the blonde wig again.
03:34I can't be the only one who'd love to see it.
03:37Oh Hannah, all grown up?
03:39Yessss.
03:40You know, growing up, we all got hand-me-downs, but they were not like this.
03:45Violet Affleck, the 18-year-old daughter of Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck, stepped out
03:49this week in a recycled dress from her step-mom, Jennifer Lopez, who previously wore it for
03:54a Valentine's Day with Violet's dad last year.
03:57Imagine having that closet at your disposal?
04:00Jealous.
04:01The throwback came as Jennifer spent more time with Ben at his LA home ahead of his
04:05birthday today.
04:07From our source, they're still moving on separately, but that doesn't mean Jen doesn't
04:10care about his kids, and she still wants to spend quality time with them.
04:13We'd love to see it.
04:16One of music's most iconic nights is being rescheduled y'all.
04:19So the MTV Video Music Awards were going to happen on September 10th, but that's now the
04:23same night as the presidential debate, so they pushed it back a day to September 11th.
04:29Yeah, some people are giving that date the side-eye, especially since it's being held
04:33in New York.
04:34Might be kind of emotional.
04:36MTV did say they have plans to recognize the 23rd anniversary and even support some non-profits
04:41that help the families of 9-11 victims.
04:44That calmed everyone down a bit.
04:46You know what else helped?
04:47Announcing Chappelle Roane, Sabrina Carpenter, and Camila Cabello as performers.
04:53Daisy Edgar-Jones is a pro at mixing business with pleasure, so she's still at it promoting
04:58Twisters and was in Seoul, South Korea for the premiere over there.
05:01But she made sure to get her tourist time in.
05:04Ate some yummy dinners and sampled some Korean snacks.
05:07She also prioritized self-care with a little hydration on the plane.
05:11Perfect trip.
05:12Look, Kylie Jenner is one honest mama.
05:16She's getting real about postpartum depression, which she experienced after both her kids.
05:21But it hit harder with her two-year-old son, Air, and the fact that she didn't have a name
05:24for him yet when he was born, that made her spiral.
05:28So first she named him Wolf, but then decided it wasn't the right fit and called him Night
05:32instead, which we didn't know until now.
05:34Apparently big sister Stormi loved that one, but Kylie felt like a failure over the whole
05:39thing and would even call her mom Kris, hysterically crying about it.
05:43But now Air has a name that suits him and Kylie is finally feeling like herself again.
05:50Sometimes it takes something big to put it all into perspective.
05:54Julianne Hough knows what I mean.
05:56I am so blessed to have the family that I have.
05:59Even when we're not all on the same page, when we don't sometimes have the same beliefs
06:04or understandings of things, we have our situations and our s***.
06:10But our deepest desire is to connect.
06:12Her sister-in-law Hailey had emergency surgery in December for a cranial hematoma.
06:17And when their family was in crisis, they came together.
06:20When something tragic happens, especially with what just happened with Derek and Hailey,
06:25there could have been little things just kind of looming or lingering in the background,
06:29but it just was a clean slate.
06:32Whatever little things of competition or this or whatever it might be, like those things
06:38just go away.
06:39Nothing else matters.
06:42Now it's the sit down with Brandon Slenner.
06:44Hi Brandon.
06:45I just watched It Ends With Us and I was ugly crying and your sweet face didn't help.
06:50Hailey Bloom.
06:51That was.
06:53Walk me through the moment that you got the call to play Atlas.
06:57Casting and Justin and the producers were very adamant on it, you know, and I honestly
07:02wasn't aware of the book prior to the project coming along.
07:06And at first I was like, man, why are they so adamant on this?
07:11Like they were really pushing it.
07:13And then when I read the book and I read the script, I was like, oh, I get it.
07:18Justin Baldoni.
07:19Tell me about working with him.
07:21He was great.
07:22I mean, he he did a really good job of balancing being both, you know, a lead actor in the
07:28film and then being a director and a producer.
07:30And honestly, the entire crew that he assembled was just so incredible.
07:34I mean, everybody in this film was just on the top of their game.
07:37It was a really pleasant environment to work in.
07:40I never felt like I was on a set, you know, I just felt like I was having a conversation
07:44with Blake.
07:45And I think you can feel that in the film.
07:48You know, we got to ask Blake Lively.
07:50Tell us everything.
07:51What was it like playing the love of her life?
07:53I mean, she was being a mama.
07:55I mean, she's you know, her kids are running around and I mean, she's just I can't say
08:02enough about her.
08:03Honestly, she just to this day continues to just blow me away with how much of a powerhouse
08:08woman she is.
08:09I mean, she was a producer on this.
08:11She was a lead actress.
08:12She hadn't I don't think she had worked in four years.
08:15She had just been a mama.
08:17And I think her work in this is some of the best she's ever done.
08:20And it's so powerful.
08:23Some people are a force of nature.
08:24I think she's just a force of life like she literally like Blake Lively is a drug and
08:29you get high on it when you're around her for sure.
08:32She just emanates so much life and can seamlessly wear all these hats.
08:39And I struggled just being an actor guy.
08:41Did you connect with the author Colleen Hoover at all?
08:43Did she give you any special insight into playing Atlas?
08:46Oh, yeah.
08:47And on a personal level, her and I got to spend a lot of time together in New Jersey
08:50when we were filming and we just get on really well.
08:54You know, we both have a really dry sense of humor and I mean, look, anytime someone
08:58can take something from their personal life and put it into art and put it into the world
09:04to be judged and to be digested, it takes a tremendous amount of courage.
09:10And oftentimes those are the things that are the most impactful.
09:12And I think that's why this book is what it is to so many people over the world.
09:17None of this is your fault.
09:19I mean, it was the first character I've played that I just felt very aligned with where I
09:25didn't really have to do much.
09:26I was like, I don't need to change my voice.
09:28I don't need to.
09:29It would be disservice to the truth of who this man is to try and actor it and add unnecessary
09:37bits because I just related to him so much and sort of his perspective on the world and
09:43his ethical and moral compass and his integrity and his heart.
09:48I was like, oh, I just literally need to show up and be present and obviously know the scenes
09:54and know the script and do that kind of work.
09:56But aside from that, like I just need to be me really.
10:00I've never felt like that was enough as an actor.
10:03You always like, I think, especially as a younger actor, you want to prove how good
10:06you are at acting and like how much I can change this and that.
10:10And I kind of throw all that out the window here.
10:12And it was scary because I was like, well, if people don't like this, they just don't
10:15like me.
10:16It's not the voice I'm doing or it's not, you know, like, um.
10:20Oh, Brandon, I promise they will love you.
10:23OK, we're going to put 10 seconds on the clock, promote any one of your projects.
10:28Ready?
10:29Go.
10:301923, season two, the final seven episodes.
10:34I am currently filming it and I am unbelievably excited for people to see it.
10:40Brandon, thank you so much for being here.
10:43Thank you so much.
