00:00But we'll be right back.
00:04♪♪
00:05Liberty, the Sun, the Lynx, the Storm,
00:06and the Aces all up top.
00:08If I asked you your championship prediction today
00:11before the, quote-unquote, second half starts up here,
00:14who's that going to be for you, Miles?
00:16So this is always my least favorite question.
00:18It was not an issue until the Liberty were contenders
00:20because that is the team that I cover locally.
00:22That is my home market.
00:24And they have been the best team
00:25throughout the first half of the season.
00:27But I think I still need to say the Las Vegas Aces
00:30because they're going for this unprecedented three-peat
00:32that hasn't been done since the first three years
00:34of the league.
00:35And they still have Asia Wilson,
00:37who's running laps around everybody else
00:39as the best player in the world.
00:40So right now, it's kind of one of those scenarios
00:43where I think we saw this,
00:44the comparison I can make on the men's side
00:46is when we just saw LeBron running roughshod
00:48through the Eastern Conference for a decade.
00:50It feels like that's what Asia is doing to the entire WNBA.
00:54She is by far the best player in the league
00:56and they are returning four Olympians home
00:59from that Team USA roster, a third of that roster.
01:02That's just how built they are for it.
01:04So yeah, until somebody dethrones them,
01:06I say the Aces are the team to beat.
