00:00The Department of Agriculture has laid out the measures for the vaccination of pigs against African Swine Fever.

00:16To prevent the spread of ASF, the vaccination program will start on Tuesday.

00:22Tomorrow, the Bureau of Animal Industry will go to Batangas, where eight ASF-affiliated towns are located.

00:29Here, the agencies will lay out the measures for the vaccination.

00:32The vaccine is free. It's voluntary.

00:35That's why the pigs will not be forced to be vaccinated.

00:40We will lay down the rules of engagement.

00:48We will talk to the technical people in Batangas.

00:52We will not vaccinate you right away. Again, we have to be very careful.

00:57First, the medicine will only be injected to pigs that are not sick.

01:00It cannot be injected to breeders or to those who have been vaccinated.

01:05It must also be monitored every 30 to 60 days on the reaction of the pigs to the vaccine.

01:17This medicine will not have an effect if there is an internal disease of the pig.

01:24According to the DA, 600,000 doses of the vaccine are expected to arrive in the country.

02:0560 pigs from Sariaya, Quezon were brought to Caloocan, Nakumpisca,

02:10due to pecking documents.
