00:00I do want to be the party pooper here and say that I disagree that this is, it's all about vibes.
00:07It actually is about policy. But the problem is we focus on the vibes.
00:11We're so easily distracted by the vibes that we don't even see the policy.
00:16Like, for example, last week, Tim Wall said weapons of war, weapons of war that I used should not be in the hands of civilians.
00:25Sure. That is a great point. But that turned into he never was in the war.
00:30He never used weapons of war. People questioning his military valor.
00:33And it's mind boggling to me that we allow. And it's usually the right that does this, but the left does it, too.
00:39But the right will keep us focused on what they want to talk about as opposed to what we should be talking about.
00:45Because what Tim Walls brought up was the actual issue that should be discussed is a policy issue that should be discussed.
00:51And we got distracted. But that's why I think this election is so important, because in some ways it's like a battle for the soul of the Republican Party.
00:59In some ways, like this is a battle to get us back to differences of opinion on fundamental issues as opposed to just being like because because you're right.
01:08Everyone is outlining policy decisions, but like it's not it's not sticking.
01:12The only thing that's sticking is are not even just policy, just issues, period.
01:15Right. Like I was listening to the Donald Trump, you know, Elon Musk call.
01:19You know, you can listen to all the BS that's in the call, like when he said the thing about global warming will cause more oceanfront property.
01:26Right. OK. But you know what he said right after that? He said we shouldn't worry about global warming.
01:31We should worry about nuclear warming. And he was like, all of these countries are crazy.
01:35North Korea, Russia, China, and all it takes is one maniac to drop a nuke.
01:39And I'm sitting there like, you know, they're casually discussing nuclear war.
01:43And I don't see that headline anywhere. Everybody's just focused on the nonsense that he says.
01:48So it's really up to us to stay to stay focused on on the issues and not get caught up in the vibes.
