Travis Dean on his return to football with Daylesford in the CHFL
Transcript
00:00Travis, a big comeback to football this year after a decade of playing cricket, and I reckon
00:07you've enjoyed it pretty well.
00:08Yeah, it's been good fun, obviously winning a few games helps, and the crew that we've
00:13got here, a more experienced team, and a few people my age, so we've got a lot in common
00:17and it's good to socially mix as well.
00:20Yeah, you knew quite a few of the guys that have joined the club this year, so it was
00:23a pretty easy transition for yourself to come back and get back into it.
00:27Yeah, along with my brother as well, I knew probably seven or eight guys coming up to
00:30Daylesford, so getting the car trips up was good fun, a bit of banter on the way up and
00:35the way back, so yeah, it's been a good release away from cricket.
00:39Look, I think you might be understating it to say you've had a few wins.
00:41It's been a really good season for the Bulldogs, set a lot of goals, top eight, 13 wins, top
00:47four, delivered so far, but now we're down to the time of season when it counts, a qualifying
00:54final in a week's time, you must be looking forward to it, as is the whole camp.
00:58Yeah, I think it's a good buzz around the club, obviously a few milestones that we've
01:02ticked off along the way, but it doesn't really mean much, and once you get to this end of
01:05the season, we're playing, hopefully, I think it's Gordon next week, who gives us a bit
01:09of a touch-up at home, so we're pretty wary of them, and obviously there's some good teams
01:13in the competition, so we're not taking anyone too lightly, we've got to play well and get
01:18our best team on the park.
