00:00It's Travis Kelsey, speaking of reaching, or it's Sam Laporta, and that is a great segue is,
00:05are you grabbing Kelsey when he comes to you, or are you drafting differently and being okay
00:11with knowing that Laporta will be your tight end? Joe? Yeah, in ADP, Kelsey's still going
00:18just ahead of him, and I mean just. We're like back-to-back picks here, basically.
00:22And the consensus ADP doesn't lie. Originally, Laporta was the guy on top in rankings, but people
00:27still feel more comfortable drafting Travis Kelsey, and I understand why. One plays with
00:31Patrick Mahomes, the other plays with Jared Goff, and Travis Kelsey's still the number one target
00:36in this offense. Laporta isn't. I think that, if you're starting to really split hairs about which
00:41guy you want, I want the guy who's the number one target in his offense, and I think that's
00:45still Travis Kelsey. Now, I understand Travis Kelsey. You say, well, he's been in the league
00:49so long. He's an older player. He's 34 years old. All that is true, but what is also true is
00:55the consistency of Travis Kelsey. Going back to 2016, he has had more than 1,000 yards receiving
01:01in every single year. Last year, for this quote-unquote down year, we'll remember he got hurt
01:05in the beginning of the preseason there, and it lingered into the regular season with that ankle.
01:11He still had 984 receiving yards and 93 catches. He only had five touchdowns, but let's not pretend
01:17like Travis Kelsey still is not elite, and let's not pretend like he can't bounce back and have an
01:22even better season than last year. He did sign a two-year extension, so I'm still going to go with
01:26Kelsey. I'm fine with Laporta. If Kelsey goes ahead and Laporta's there and I want to tie it in,
01:30perfectly fine with that or vice versa. Laporta had a great rookie season. Of course, he can build
01:35on it, but I'm still going to lean towards Kelsey and the old man getting it done in this instance
01:39because of his role in the offense and with better play from Rice and some other guys around him,
01:44defenses won't be able to basically double-team him as much as they did last year. That was a big
01:49problem for Kelsey, too, because nobody was helping out Mahomes at the wide receiver core.
01:54All right, so not allowed to not like Kelsey, not allowed to not like his girlfriend. Got it. Okay,
01:59with the time that we have left, it's Nico Collins, who is in a great offensive ecosystem
02:03with a lot of mouths to feed, or Mike Evans, who's quietly consistent. Joe? Incredibly. I mean,
02:10maybe even loudly consistent at this point, but he is 10 years in the league, and that's something to
02:14consider. I think if you're in standard leagues, you still lean Mike Evans because of the touchdown
02:18equity is a little bit clearer in that offense, but if you're in a half PPR or even a full PPR,
02:23I'm going to lean towards CJ Stroud's guy, which is Nico Collins. I think he is the clear number
02:27one. I think that offense can only get better this year potentially, so give me the younger
02:32wide receiver here in this mix.
