00:00I sold some Tassel on Friday and people are going to say,
00:03oh my gosh, this, Dennis, this is in your long-term portfolio.
00:05You're not supposed to touch this.
00:06Yes, but I've still have a core position in my long-term portfolio.
00:11I sold about 30% of the position, so I'm still holding a good chunk of it,
00:14but I'll tell you my reasoning.
00:15I did a lot of research.
00:18I did a lot of research Thursday night about full self-drive and I watched a lot
00:23of videos, I called some friends, talked to some people.
00:28One good friend of mine, Peter, I won't give his last name, but anyways,
00:33he knows he's right and tucked in, or he's really in touch with a lot of
00:37technology stuff and he's obviously, I didn't even know he had full self-drive,
00:42but I knew he had a Tesla.
00:42I'm like, for sure, he's got full self-drive.
00:44So I gave him a call and I'm like, how's the FSD?
00:47He's like, it's cool, but he's like, Denny, it's a long ways off from being
00:52able to drive itself and then you're watching videos and you're figuring it
00:55out and you're like, can he even remotely come close to hitting this October
01:01RoboTax event, like I think he may actually have the event in October, but
01:06he's not going to talk about, yeah, we're rolling them out next week.
01:09It's going to be like previewing something to roll out maybe a year from now.
01:15And this market is so bloody impatient that I just think being full size and
01:22oversized Tesla position at this time, what's the immediate catalyst
01:26here that's going to drive it higher?
01:27Humanoids are a few years away.
01:29Full self-drive, when I was talking to my friend, is like at least a
01:33year away, if not two years away.
01:36And I'm like, I'm just get worried that this market's going to be
01:39disappointed on this RoboTax event.
01:41And then you look at the stock action and you think this has been a damn good run.
01:48I mean, we just hit 180 nine days ago.
01:51It's up to two, I sold at 219.
01:53Actually, I got near the high on Friday.
01:56That's like a 20% move in, is that a 20% move?
02:01I think it is.
02:02Yeah.
02:02About a 20% move from the lows in nine days.
02:05There's so many stocks of like 20%, like my micron.
02:08I was looking at 23% in nine days.
02:10It's been a big move for a lot of stocks.
02:12So not that I, I don't think I'm going to be wrong in the long run here,
02:16but I think my timing is off after doing more research, spending hours.
02:20I mean, multiple hours, you know, going through videos of people with
02:24FSD, talking to my friend for an hour, talking to that, I think there's
02:28very little chance that RoboTaxi is coming in the next year.
02:32I think it's at least a year away and it might be two years away.
02:35Some of you in the chat are saying 10 years away.
02:37I don't think it's 10 years away, but I think I've got my timing.
02:42I think I'm too early on it.
02:43And it's nice to be able to take a good chunk of your winner because I'm
02:47averaged in on this stock at about 185.
02:50It's been a pretty, it's, it's nice when you're wrong.
02:53And I think I'm wrong on the timing to be able to make money.
02:55So I'm not selling it all out continuously.
02:58I brought it back down to a normal size position.
03:00It was an oversized position.
03:02It was the largest position in my long-term portfolio.
03:04I brought it back down to a normal size.
03:06I sold about 30 or 40% of the position.
03:09I didn't add it up because I've got across multiple accounts and I,
03:12I didn't sell it out of any account.
03:14I just sold pieces out of each account.
03:16So I'm, and I didn't sell any out of my kids, our ESP account because
03:20they're ESP accounts for 10 years down the road.
03:22And I'm like, they're holding it all.
03:23So they're all in 20% of their RESP account is in Tesla.
03:27So it's like, they're going for, you know, with my kids.
03:30But if you've got a five year, 10, five, 10 year time horizon here, I
03:34don't think you worry about it, but I think we're going to get a shot back
03:38under 200 again, I think we might even get a shot in the one eighties
03:41again, at some point in time.
03:43So I don't want to be full size, but I don't want to be out in
03:46case I miss it because I do think long run five to 10 years.
03:50I think Tesla is going to be one of the biggest AI companies in the world,
03:54but I think my timing is off.
03:56So that's where I'm at on Tesla.
03:59I lowered the position size to be like, make more sense with what
