Rain check for a Duck Tour? Matt Damon, Casey Affleck, and Hong Chau answer questions from real Bostonians.

Matt Damon, Casey Affleck and Hong Chau star in The Instigators, now streaming on Apple TV+ https://apple.co/_TheInstigators

Rory (Matt Damon) and Cobby (Casey Affleck) are reluctant partners: a desperate father and an ex-con thrown together to rob a corrupt politician's ill-gained earnings. But when the heist goes wrong, the two find themselves engulfed in a whirlwind of chaos, pursued not only by police but also by backward bureaucrats and vengeful crime bosses. Completely out of their depth, they convince Rory’s therapist (Hong Chau) to join their riotous getaway through the city, where they must put aside their differences and work together to evade capture — or worse. Directed by Doug Liman and written by Chuck MacLean and Affleck, “The Instigators” also stars Michael Stuhlbarg, Paul Walter Hauser, Ving Rhames, Alfred Molina and Toby Jones, with Jack Harlow and Ron Perlman.

00:00Welcome to Boston!
00:02Aww.
00:03Let's just hope the locals don't come for us.
00:06Hi, I'm Alexa Gale.
00:07I'm Lexi Najarian.
00:08I'm Kristen Bova.
00:09My name is Robin the Riveter.
00:11I'm a local 7-iron work from Boston.
00:13I am a conductor here at Boston Duck Tours.
00:15And this is our family's bakery!
00:19Matt, Casey, and Han, when you're back in Boston,
00:21what's the first thing you're eating?
00:23Clam chowder maybe?
00:24Clam chowder?
00:25It's kind of like a chicken parm.
00:26And by the way, when are you coming to our family's bakery?
00:30What's your favorite thing about shooting here in Boston with everybody?
00:33It must bring back memories.
00:34What I really love about shooting in Boston, I guess,
00:36is how comfortable Bostonians have gotten with movies being here.
00:40And they just pull right up in their car and lean out the window
00:43and say like,
00:44Hey, what are you doing, bro?
00:45We're filming a movie here!
00:46Come on!
00:47And then they drive off.
00:49So in the movie, right,
00:50you guys are getting chased down whatever street that was.
00:52What street was it?
00:54Because the traffic sucked.
00:55The traffic sucked.
00:57You could hire a Boston police department to escort you around town like we did.
01:01Or you could just drive on the Esplanade and they'll show up.
01:04They'll escort you until they finally catch you
01:06and then they're going to put you in prison.
01:09So Matt and Casey,
01:10I know you guys have been friends for a very long time.
01:12Did you learn anything new about your friend?
01:15Yeah, I don't think I learned anything new about Matt,
01:17but I certainly tried to find new buttons to push.
01:21I don't know if my buttons have been pushed.
01:24My name is Hugo Collazos and I work in the fishing industry.
01:27I feel bad for those fish, man.
01:29Look at that.
01:30This is not to be messed with.
01:33If you had the reigns of Boston for 24 hours,
01:36what would you like to do?
01:37I mean, I'd start with what we did last night,
01:40which was go to the Red Sox game.
01:41I think I would move into the Sargent Museum
01:45and just be surrounded by all of those beautiful paintings.
01:48Let us feel that.
01:51I mean, after I do that,
01:53I was going to go to Fenway.
01:55What's up, Matt and Casey?
01:56I've got a question for you.
01:57Where were you when the Red Sox won the World Series in 2004?
02:01I remember where I was.
02:03Everybody knows.
02:04I had just had a baby
02:06and I just screamed and was jumping up and down
02:10and I woke the baby up.
02:11Quiet, quiet.
02:12I watched all four games exactly in the same room.
02:15I watched all four games exactly in the same spot.
02:17I didn't stand up until I jumped off of my couch
02:21and screamed in my apartment,
02:23oh my God,
02:24because I realized that it was actually going to happen.
02:27I am Michael K. Shelton,
02:29aka DJ Dinosaur K.
02:31I'm a teacher and I'm a Boston native.
02:33I just want to know a piece of advice
02:35that you would give to a young kid growing up in Boston.
02:38Oh, man.
02:39My mom's a teacher.
02:40You know, Jerry Speka,
02:41a teacher who had a profound impact
02:43on Casey and me and Ben and everyone.
02:45He said to me, and this sounds simple,
02:48but it's actually really profound,
02:50was just do your work, kid.
02:52And it's just five words
02:53and it speaks to focusing on what you can control
02:56and really, really pushing yourself
02:59to get the best out of yourself
03:01and trusting that good things will happen.
03:03So truthful and real.
03:05I swear to God.
03:13I love you.
