Captain Karsten Borner on Monday (August 19) recalled the tragic moments he witnessed the capsizing of a luxury yacht after it was struck by an unexpectedly violent storm and sank off the Sicilian capital Palermo. - REUTERS

00:00This morning we got this very strong Orkan gust and we had to start the engine to keep the ship in an anchor position
00:13and we watched the ship behind us not to touch them and we managed to keep the ship in position
00:22and after the storm was over we noticed that the ship behind us was gone
00:30and then we saw a red flare so my first mate and I went to the position and we found this life raft drifting
00:45with 15 people inside and in the life raft was also a little baby and the wife of the owner
00:55the owner and her child are still inside I guess so it was a big disaster.
