00:00The Department of Health also reminded residents near the Taal Volcano to be careful of the effects of volcanic smog or vog on the respiratory system.
00:09According to the Ministry of Health, this is due to the high levels of sulfur dioxide emission caused by vog in the absence of DOH.
00:17Smog or vog is bad for the health and can cause irritation in the eyes, throat, or respiratory tract that can be serious depending on the duration of exposure.
00:28Today, several places in Calabarzon and Metro Manila suspended classes due to vog from the Taal Volcano.
00:35First, the Department of Education allowed schools in Calabarzon and Metro Manila affected by vog to suspend classes even though there was no official announcement from the local governments.
