00:31The investigation was conducted in a closed manner for almost 5 hours

00:34from 13.30 to 18.15 WIB.

00:39The head of the Department of Judicial Supervision and Investigation, Joko Sasmito, explained

00:44that the investigation into the three judges of the Supreme Court of Surabaya

00:48was carried out by a team of the family of the victim, Dini Serah Afriyanti,

00:54who said that the court of the Supreme Court of Surabaya was not qualified

00:57and was suspected of violating the code of ethics

00:59when deciding on the murder charge based on various evidences

01:03that have been presented during the trial.

01:05The KAYE investigation team has previously investigated as many as 14 witnesses,

01:09including a team of public prosecutors from the Surabaya State Prosecutor's Office,

01:12the Minister of Justice, and the Head of the Surabaya State Prosecutor's Office,

01:15all of whom have been submitted to the investigation.

01:19The decision will be proven or not depends on the defense decision

01:26presented by the seven Judicial Commissioners.

01:30We will try to finish this decision as soon as possible in August.

01:46The results of the investigation will be decided by the seven KAYE Commissioners

01:49through a plenary session.

01:51If the decision is proven to violate the code of ethics,

01:54KAYE will issue a recommendation to the Supreme Court

01:58to issue a sanction to Judge Erintua Damanik, Mangapul, and Heru Hanindyo.

02:04The sanction, if proven to violate the code of ethics,

02:07can be used as a record.

02:09However, if it is not proven, KAYE will restore the good name of the investigators.
