A petition has called for donkey rides at the seaside to be banned citing animal cruelty. How do you view the tradition - a cherished part of local culture or an outdated practice that should be reconsidered?

00:00If they're going to ban kids, toddlers, from going on donkeys,
00:05then they should ban horse racing and jumping over fences and everything.
00:11And what about all these donkeys that are on adverts with bricks on backs and saws?
00:17They should be sorting them out first.
00:20If charities who have looked into it feel like it's not fair on the donkeys,
00:26then I would probably go with their opinion.
00:29I don't know how they're treated or if they enjoy being ridden on.
00:37I don't think they should be banned at all.
00:39I think it's a very traditional part of British culture.
00:42It'll be good for kids, as long as they're looked after.
00:45I'm all for it, as long as they're looked after.
00:47As long as they're looked after, cared for, well groomed,
00:53and they don't spoil the beach.
00:58Well, they don't. They make the beach.
