00:00Alright, hi people, it's Jasoner here to do an unboxing for you guys today of what I've

00:06been waiting for, or one thing I've been waiting for.

00:09The Warner Archive Collection Hidden Barbaric Double Feature of Scooby-Doo and the Witch's

00:14Ghosts and Scooby-Doo and the Alien Invaders, much like Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island, and

00:23a bunch of the TV specials and TV movies from the 70s and 80s for Scooby-Doo, Warner

00:35Bros. decided to remaster the movies, and they put them out digitally probably months

00:43ago, maybe a year or two ago, however long ago, and then Warner Archives said, hey, let's

00:51put that on a disc eventually.

00:54So yeah, so for Zombie Island, they put it with its sequel, which is fine, the sequel's

01:00not any good from what I understand, but it's still fine, it makes sense, and so we were

01:06all wondering, all those people that were waiting for them were just like, hey, what

01:11about Witch's Ghosts and Alien Invaders, we finally have this, they announced it pretty

01:15quickly after Zombie Island came out on Blu-ray, and just like Zombie Island, they put these

01:24movies onto film, and as a result, they were able to remaster these movies into HD.

01:32Now they're still 4x3, but the fact that they're remastered into HD is still good, it gives

01:39you more detail, better colors, and just makes the movies hold up a lot better, and

01:46in fact, they hold up pretty well next to Cyberchase, which was mostly animated digitally,

01:52maybe even a little bit better than it, because these were animated by hand, and you know,

01:59they kind of just look better as a result of that, in terms of at least the backgrounds

02:04and certain details and everything, whereas Cyberchase, they tried, but you could tell

02:10that they were still adjusting to the new technology that they were working with, so

02:14yeah.

02:17So here we go, Witch's Ghosts has more of a, like, you can tell that they toned it down

02:24in regards to the tone and everything, still with a real monster and everything, but it's

02:32not as dark as Zombie Island was, Alien Invaders is a bit better, and in fact, I do really

02:38like it, I think it is the second best of these four movies, with Zombie Island, Witch's

02:43Ghosts, Alien Invaders, and Cyberchase, but yeah, but yeah, Witch's Ghosts has a thing

02:49though where, it has Tim Curry as one of the main characters, or one of the secondary characters,

02:54you can't go wrong with Tim Curry, so, yeah.

02:59We got these two right here, which are cropped versions of the original DVD covers, or VHS,

03:05and then DVD covers, so, yeah, as you probably expect, War Archive Collection, Hannah Rivera

03:11double feature, and everything, Blu-ray, and the names of the movies, WB, and on the back,

03:18a description of the sets, includes making of featurettes, promotional trailers, and

03:24Scooby Doo and the Witch's Ghost music video, unfortunately it does not include the VHS

03:29promo that originally came out, unlike other Warner Bros stuff, when this was being announced

03:36and marketed, go look it up on YouTube if you can, or if you want to, it's like 30 seconds

03:42long or so, and it features a parody of the X-Files theme song, and it's actually pretty

03:50cool as a promo, I do like it, I just wish it was on this disc though, unfortunately

03:55it's not, but yeah, it's funny, this is a screenshot from Witch's Ghost, this is just

04:03promo art of these four characters in this car, for Alien Invaders, I don't know why,

04:11maybe they didn't have a good enough shot of all four of these characters in the car

04:16together, but I'm pretty sure they could have found one if they wanted to, but whatever,

04:22so main feature, Scooby Doo and Witch's Ghost, 1080p, HD, 6.9, no it's 4.3, 1.3, 3.1, DTSHD

04:30master audio, English 5.1 surround, subtitles in English SDH, and then same thing for Alien

04:35Invaders, I don't understand why these movies have 5.1 surround sound mixes, but Zombie

04:41Island doesn't, Zombie Island is the best movie out of them, and so does Cybertrace

04:47weirdly enough, has a 5.1 surround sound mix, yeah, so Witch's Ghost is 66 minutes, Alien

04:54Invaders is 74, so yeah, I'm assuming this disc is region A, so yeah, here we go, I watched

05:02this disc the night before I'm recording this video, and trust me, the transfers look good

05:06on these, so yeah, it's got the disc with both the movies, no inside artwork, but yeah,

05:12basically just bare bones, but it's about what you expect, and the price is actually

05:17pretty good, so you got that right there, and you're getting two good movies for a good

05:23price, so you can't go wrong if you want to get them, so yeah, so not much else to say,
