00:47Good morning, Sir Emerson.
00:50Good morning to all of us.
00:52Good morning and welcome.
00:54Sir, what is the theme of our National Trade Fair this year?
00:59This year, Ma'am, what we are continuing in DTI, the National Trade Fair, is our theme Go Green, Go Local.
01:06So, it's more of promoting sustainability for our MSMEs and our consumers.
01:13So, we will showcase a wide range of eco-friendly products.
01:18So, these are the products that our MSMEs make using our raw materials.
01:24So, we grow Philippine Bamboo, Philippine Coconut, Native Grass, and different natural fibers.
01:33Okay, Sir Emerson, what are the highlights of the 2024 National Trade Fair?
01:39We heard that there are special settings like different pavilions.
01:45What can we see in the pavilions?
01:48Yes, that's right.
01:50So, it's also a good way to highlight the products of our exhibitors.
01:57So, we have number one, Philippine Sustainability Pavilion.
02:02So, we have different government agencies that highlight our raw materials in the Philippines.
02:10So, we also have Coconut Pavilion, Coconut Philippines Pavilion.
02:14So, with the help of the Philippine Coconut Authority, we highlight food and non-food innovative products,
02:22especially the products of our coconut farmers.
02:25And with the help of the Philippine Training Center, we have the Obra Pavilion.
02:33So, there are different innovative and different uses of our raw materials showcased by our Obra scholars.
02:43And for those who love coffee, we have the Cafeteria Philippine Coffee Pavilion.
02:48And we also highlight the different products of our upland farmers through our Rapid Growth Project Pavilion.
02:56And of course, there are different government agencies and private sector partners
03:02to help our MSME exhibitors, shoppers, and aspiring entrepreneurs who will visit our National Trade Fair.
03:12So, there are a lot of pavilions that can be visited for the promotion of sustainability.
03:19Okay. We also have with us here in the studio, Sir Marcus and Ma'am Shirley?
03:25Yes, Lin Shirley.
03:27Lin Shirley. Okay.
03:29Are you the one who has exhibited in the previous exhibits of DTI?
03:34Actually, this is our first time at the DTI National Trade Fair.
03:37So, what is your plan for this?
03:41Currently, the National Trade Fair will start from August 21 to 25.
03:49So, our products are here.
03:51Or the products of the entire Philippine region to showcase and see all of our products through the National Trade Fair.
04:01Ma'am Lin Shirley?
04:03Yes. I was already part of the last National Trade Fair.
04:09How was your experience?
04:11The experience, ma'am, has had an overwhelming impact.
04:18Overwhelming. You were really helped by the small enterprises.
04:24Yes. It had a big impact and significant not only to my company but for me personally.
04:34So, you were able to introduce your products?
04:36Yes. The products of the mothers in our community.
04:39They were slowly recognized and the market was excited.
04:44Okay. Ma'am, let's show them.
04:46And now, we can see that you have brought some products.
04:49Yes.
04:50Is this also part of the exhibit?
04:53Can you explain to us what this is? Where is it made?
04:58Shoes, for sure. Marikina.
05:00Yes.
05:01Okay. Of course, we know that when we say shoes, we mean Marikina.
05:05So, this is what we made.
05:07These are men's shoes, these are ladies' shoes, and these are for weddings.
05:12We have a lot of samples.
05:14Actually, Concept Shoes Caters are made-to-orders or bespoke.
05:17We also have ready-to-wear.
05:20Oh.
05:21Ready-to-wear. I want her to wear that.
05:23Yes. It looks like you measured it.
05:25No.
05:26It was really made for you.
05:27You know, sir, I love Marikina shoes.
05:29To tell you the truth, all of my leather shoes, except for this one, are all Marikina shoes.
05:33Yes.
05:34Because the quality is different.
05:35You know, as a personal experience, Meiji,
05:38at the mall, you can buy 8,000 to 13,000 pieces of leather shoes from foreign brands.
05:45But at Marikina, they only play for 2,400 pesos up.
05:51But the quality of this is for international.
05:55This is pure leather.
05:56They also have freebies.
05:58Lifetime.
05:59You can clean it, fix it.
06:01And it's handcrafted, right?
06:03Yes, ma'am.
06:04It was really made by our shoe makers.
06:07Our shoe makers.
06:10Yes, our shoe makers.
06:13Sir Emerson, I have a question.
06:17This National Trade Fair that we are doing,
06:21in terms of helping our fellow countrymen,
06:25what is the impact of this to them?
06:28If you don't mind me asking,
06:32we are proud to say that we are featuring more than 260 exhibitors.
06:38So our small MSMEs from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao,
06:43we are trying to help them to promote and market their products.
06:47So last year, our last National Trade Fair,
06:52we were able to generate more than 50 million,
06:55more than 56 million actually,
06:57for the benefit of our exhibitors.
07:01So we hope that we are able to invite more buyers,
07:06more shoppers,
07:07so that our MSMEs can show them
07:11their beautiful products and grow their business.
07:16Isn't it beautiful?
07:17We can see the quality of this.
07:19We have a sample here.

07:23let's show the bag that you have.
07:25Yes, this is made from recycled plastic waste
07:32processed with seaweeds and seagrass.
07:35It was handmade by mothers in our community.
07:39Yes, and we mentioned that this is nationwide,
07:42so different regions are coming together for an exhibition.
07:47Where is your community, ma'am?
07:49Dinagat Islands, we are proudly based.
07:52So this is from mothers in Dinagat Islands?
07:55Yes.
07:56Is this included when you buy it?
07:59Yes, we have a freebie.
08:01Nice, so there's a freebie as well.
08:03For our countrymen, especially those who have relatives abroad,
08:06when you visit the Philippines,
08:08the best thing that you will bring back abroad
08:11is the quality of the product of the Filipinos.
08:15For example, those handcrafted bags.
08:17So you are helping our countrymen to support.
08:21Filipino maids.
08:23Sir Marcos, as an MSME,
08:26what assistance do you receive specifically from DTI
08:31and how has this helped you join the fair?

08:39For example, our logo.
08:41They enhanced it through the help of DTI.
08:44For example, they offer seminars and trainings
08:49to small enterprises.
08:52We are also invited to the bazaars
08:57where we can showcase our products.
09:01Sir Emerson, how can aspiring entrepreneurs join the fair
09:08organized by DTI and DPO?
