00:27Dr Mahmoud Bamiya is seeking to take over from President Nana Akufuwado,
00:31whose term expires in January 2025. His manifesto focuses on creating jobs,
00:38digitizing the delivery of public services, fighting corruption and cutting the waste
00:45in public expenditure. The 2024 manifesto of the new patriotic party prioritizes what you,
00:55the Ghanaian people, say are your priorities. The manifesto lays out a clear path of how
01:05we plan to solve these major problems, among others. That is why my government
01:12will make business and jobs our number one priority. Dr Bamiya, who has been Vice President
01:21since 2017, rose to prominence touting his competence in handling the country's economy.
01:27Despite delivering several social protection programs, including a free senior high school
01:33program that has sent more than two million children to school, his opponents accuse him
01:38of supervising one of Ghana's worst economic crises in decades. Based on the policies and
01:47programs that his government seeks to roll out, I have no doubt that come December 7th,
01:53Ghanaians would give the new patriotic party, and Dr Mahmoud Bamiya, the mandate to once again,
01:59for the first time in history, to break the age and then re-govern Ghana.
