00:00The Philadelphia Eagles were the favorites, entering last year at plus 3.30, 70 cents
00:08in front of the 49ers.
00:10The Vikings had a 12 to 1 price with some promise of Kirk Cousins after a playoff appearance
00:15and a 13 win season in 2022.
00:18But now entering 2024, Donnie, the story is really the San Francisco 49ers price in my
00:24estimation.
00:25Yes, the Lions and the Eagles are tied for that second best number, but San Francisco
00:29is nearly half every other team in the conference.
00:33The 49ers enter with a very short price of plus 300.
00:37It does make some sense because when you're looking from last year into this year, the
00:41Eagles were the favorites coming off the Super Bowl championship.
00:44Now while there's going to be a hangover, we didn't know about that.
00:46There was no hangover technically as the Eagles were 10 and 1, maybe the best team record
00:50wise at least in football last year.
00:51Then we saw the 49ers actually being the better team.
00:54Focus on this year now, the question marks that come up because you're still seeing some
00:58of the same teams come up in that top five, but the 49ers had a 3 to 1 price I do think
01:02makes a lot of sense.
01:03We're expecting really big things out of the Lions and the Eagles also to be competent
01:07than the Packers, which we're loving the Cowboys.
01:09You get the picture here, primarily the same sort of teams that we were looking at in 2023.
01:13But if we are saying, well, what's the difference?
01:15Why were the Eagles last year a plus 330 price and this year now sitting at a plus 550 price?
01:20The reason being is the question marks are up here.
01:22The 49ers don't have nearly the same amount of question marks right now than the Philadelphia
01:26Eagles do.
01:27So we've got coordinators here, basically a brand new defense.
01:29How are they going to gel together?
01:30So it makes sense to me that from last year to this year, you're flip flopping with the
01:34Eagles and the 49ers.
01:35And I agree with that.
01:36I do.
