00:17Two establishments in Quezon City are being targeted now after a 33-year-old man who tested positive for Mpox was brought to the area.

00:31After the man passed away on August 8, he went to a spa on Rodriguez Avenue on August 11 to get a massage.

00:40On August 15, he was taken to a dermatology clinic in Luzon.

00:45In the doctor's assessment, the patient also found skin lesions on his face, arms, back, and other parts of his body.

00:54Last week, the specimen and positive shocker Mpox came out.

01:06Forty-one close contacts are being monitored.

01:10Ten of them are spa staff.

01:12Twenty-seven are spa clients.

01:54According to the Kasan City Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit, close contacts of the patient are monitored every day.

02:01It is important to detect early the symptoms to isolate and avoid the spread of Mpox.

02:09President Bongbong Marcos ordered the government agencies to continue monitoring against Mpox, particularly in vulnerable sectors.

02:20According to the World Health Organization, the symptoms of Mpox include skin lesions,

02:25fever, rashes, headache, headache, back pain, and swelling of the lymph nodes.

02:33On June 26, almost 1,000 new cases of Mpox were declared, most of them in the Democratic Republic of the Congo in Africa.

02:43Last week, the WHO declared a global public health emergency.

02:48According to the WHO, following the outbreak of the new strain of Mpox, clade 1b, it is easier to spread through frequent close contact.

02:58But according to the Agence France-Presse, the DOH said that the case of Mpox in the Philippines is an old variant of the virus.
