Hazrat Abu Huraira (RA) said: (Once) Hazrat Umar bin Khattab (RA) was giving a sermon to the people on Friday, and during that time Hazrat Uthman bin Affan (RA) entered the mosque. Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) objected to him and said: What has happened to the people that they delay the call to prayer? Hazrat Uthman (RA) said: O Commander of the Faithful! On hearing the call to prayer, I did not do anything more than what is ablution and I have attended. Umar said: And that too (only) ablution? Have you not heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, saying: "When one of you comes for Friday, he should take a ghusl?"

00:00Hazrat Abu Huraira R.A. said that once Hazrat Umar bin Khattab R.A. was giving a sermon on the day of Jummah that during this time Hazrat Usman bin Affan R.A. entered the mosque.
00:15Hazrat Umar R.A. objected to this and said,
00:21What has happened to the people that they are late after the call to prayer?
00:25Hazrat Usman bin Affan R.A. said, O Ameen believers, I have not done more than this. I have performed ablution and I have come.
00:35Upon this, Hazrat Umar bin Affan R.A. said, And that too was only ablution.
00:40Did you not hear the Messenger of Allah say,
00:45When one of you comes for Jummah, he should bathe.
