00:00It's like, even when I walk down the street and people think that I look crazy,
00:04like, I used to wear tutus over my jeans in high school.
00:07I embrace that, I'm like, yeah, because it's making you uncomfortable in the best way.
00:11Everybody, I think, should express their individuality full and true.
00:15So break out them boxes, y'all.
00:21Hello, Who Would Wear? I'm Tati Gabrielle,
00:24and I want you guys to come get ready with me for the Tory Burch fashion show.
00:27Come on!
00:30So on my Getting Ready playlist, I have right now a big album for me is SOS by SZA.
00:49Mixed in there is a lot of Georgia Smith, Kehlani, Daniel Caesar, J.I.D.,
00:55because a little bit of, like, funk in there, or like a little shake-up, you know?
00:59Yeah.
01:02So my favorite part about getting ready for events like this is, like, the creativity.
01:06Like, yeah, I love just being able to think out of the box and get creative and try something new.
01:11My concept for today was, like, goddess, ethereal, fairy.
01:19So with makeup, we're going to do, like, a sort of, like,
01:23I don't even know how to describe it, and trying to describe it to Laurel was a whole thing.
01:28All I can see in my head is a bar that, like, rains down.
01:32I know that Laurel will, like, see it in her head and, like, throw it out.
01:37Now with makeup, literally anything is possible.
01:40So the hardest thing is just to come up with the creativity, come up with a new idea,
01:43and you have that idea, and then I'm just going to execute it and make your dreams come true.
01:47Thank you, Laurel. Thank you.
01:49So we're going to make it happen.
01:50Let's do it.
01:54Jenny got all these really, like, cool, this, like, cool fabric to, like, braid into my hair.
02:00We're going to, like, style it with a bit of, like, wire.
02:03It's to give juxtaposition even, like, as a whole, I guess, look.
02:08There's softness here, and there'll be softness here, and then that'll be, like, edgier.
02:14Two sides of a whole.
02:24I have a really great girl that does my nails in L.A.
02:28Her name is Master Wiene.
02:30I knew I wanted something that was a little more nude so that I could wear it with any outfits all through fashion week,
02:39and it could pair with everything.
02:41And then I just liked the little, like, black swirls and stripes through it as just, like, a little funky accent.
02:48And those are my nails.
02:53With perfume, I actually like to mix a bunch of things to sort of create my own scent.
02:59So tonight I've got this combination of Bond No. 9 Governor's Island,
03:04and I have this really lovely Palo Santo perfume that my best friend brought me back from Mexico City.
03:11And then I have some oils, like this Lily of the Garden oil, a Persian oil.
03:17Yeah, and so I mix all of that together in variations, and it usually smells really nice.
03:22It's really fun working with my stylist, Jean, because, like, we will, like, mash things up that nobody would ever think to,
03:28like, something frilly with something, like, edgy or something, like, fitted and demure with, like, yeah, something, like, punky.
03:33Like, I like to just push the envelope to send a message for everybody else out there.
03:38Like, be unapologetic. Try things.
03:43What I like about Tory Burch's, like, design is that it is very classic,
03:48but then it does have that, like, with my dress, it does have that step of going outside.
03:54It's something that every woman could wear and allows, I think, even the safest woman to test themselves.
04:04Like, especially with fashion is I never come with expectation.
04:07So I'm just looking forward to, like, I'm looking forward to the surprise of seeing the collection.
04:13I'm also curious to see, because I know a lot of, like, a lot of designers have been doing, like, a performance aspect to their show,
04:19so I'm curious to see if that will be a part of Tory's show.
04:22I'm very grateful to just be able to go, so I'm along for the ride.
04:30For you, season four, I'm just so pumped for fans to see everything about this season.
04:36They took a new approach to, like, sort of the structure of the season.
04:40It's more of, like, a whodunit style, and just the twists and surprises through this season are mind-blowing.
04:49As a fan, I'm pumped.
04:54I was not expecting him to be, like, so down-to-earth.
04:57He's, like, one of the most generous, genuine people, like, you'll ever meet.
05:00We have so many, like, philosophical, intellectual, thought-provoking conversations,
05:05literally between every take that we've ever done.
05:08Like, he's now become one of my most favorite people to work with.
05:11He's nothing like Joe Goldberg, for those of you who don't know.
05:17Marianne is very resilient, and she has a very strong survival instinct.
05:23I also think that we align in the way of, like, we're both very artsy, artistic.
05:29You'll see, like, just in this season, you'll see a very, a much rarer version of Marianne than you see in season three,
05:37of the Madre Linda Marianne, and the honesty thing.
05:40Marianne is very honest to herself and to everyone else, and that's the sort of thing that's a very core value of mine.
05:49This is my hair from yesterday.
05:51As a test, I decided to sleep in it and see what would happen, and it stayed.
05:59Okay, so the new lipstick is Danessa Myrick's Color Fix, and we're going to do, we're going to go even more avant-garde.
06:07We're going to do, like, a bar through the, like, center of my lip to go with the, like, yeah, dystopian, ethereal, like, vibe.
06:15So I'm excited.
06:16Me too.
06:17Yes, thanks, Laurel.
06:18Let's do it.
06:20Some affirmations that I say to myself before I go to a red carpet or an event like this is, one, just be you, be yourself,
06:31because I have really bad social anxiety at times, and, like, I can, I can, yeah, I'll get, just get caught up in it,
06:39and so I just tell myself, like, no, be you, because you is wonderful.
06:44I also always just say, like, let's do this, to just invite the excitement of the night or to invite the adventure,
06:52and whatever will be will be.
07:13All right, so this is my bag for this evening, and I keep a very minimal bag so that I don't have to, like,
07:25sift through things, but basically inside is just my ID and a card, my, of course, my room key card,
07:33and then I also, like, carry one of my little oils with me just in case I want to, like, touch something really quick,
07:41and that's about it, and my phone.
07:43Yeah, keep it very simple.
07:45So we're putting on the final touches, but I'll say bye here.
07:48Thank you, HulaWear.
07:49I'll see you guys next time.
