The Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court on Friday (Aug 23) allowed Toh Puan Na'imah Abdul Khalid temporary access to her passport for travel to China on work-related matters later this month.

00:12Sessions judge Azura Alwi made an order on Friday to release the passport from August

00:19Earlier, Naima's lawyer Nizamuddin Hamid said the application was made for work purposes.
00:26DPP Mohamad Fadli Mohamad Zamri did not object but requested for the travel document to be
00:32returned to the court within 48 hours of Naima's return to Malaysia, which the judge so ordered.
00:38Naima, the wife of former Finance Minister Tundaim Zainuddin, had previously been allowed
00:43to travel abroad to attend an art exhibition in Venice and for a meeting in London in July.
00:49The 66-year-old is facing a criminal charge of allegedly failing to abide by an MACC notice
00:56to disclose her assets, which are two companies, to luxury cars and eight properties.
01:02She was allowed bail of 250,000 ringgit in one surety.
01:06As part of bail conditions, she had to surrender her passport to the court.
