Former prime minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has failed in his bid for the temporary release of his passport to go to Uzbekistan with his wife to celebrate their 52nd wedding anniversary.
In dismissing his application, KL Sessions Court Judge Azura Alwi said the Bersatu president can still go on holiday and celebrate, but not abroad.

00:27since he is the president of Bersatu and has to attend the parliament sitting, which starts on October 14th.
00:34He said Muhyiddin would leave for Uzbekistan tomorrow and will return to Malaysia on October 12th,
00:40adding that his passport will be returned to the court on October 14th.
00:44KL Sessions Court Judge Azura Alwi, however, dismissed the application and said that Muhyiddin can still go on holiday
00:51and celebrate any celebration, but not abroad.
00:54In the application, Muhyiddin stated that the trip to Uzbekistan was a respite from the various challenges facing him,
01:01including the sedition case at the Guamusang Court, the by-elections,
01:05and also to spend time with his wife in conjunction with their 52nd wedding anniversary on September 22nd.
