Vaping abroad: The countries where vaping is banned or restricted

  • last month
As it becomes more widespread, vaping is being legislated against in many places, including here in the UK.
Transcript
00:00Most Spanish beaches ban smoking and vaping entirely.
00:26France has a single-use e-cig ban pending.
00:29While in Portugal, it's banned in all public enclosed spaces, bars, restaurants and clubs.
00:59What makes it tricky is that laws vary massively across the world, so you really need to do
01:03your research before you set off.
01:05There exist fines. Some of the fines are quite ridiculous. I mean, in Spain, it could cost
01:11€2,000 if you use your vape on a beach. And in the US, for example, there it's very
01:21tricky because they both have different regulation on federal level, on the state level, also
01:27down into county level. So depending on what kind of county you are in, there could be
01:33different regulation where to use the vape and how to use it, and if it should be flavored
01:38or not in the device. Luckily, the enforcement is quite low. So many people will manage to
01:48keep on vaping in all the countries. But if there is someone that really wants to nail
01:53you, then the fines is quite high, as, for example, in Spain.
