00:00Hello and welcome to another round of Wrestling Predictions on the Internet.
00:10My name is Benjamin Jackson and I'm joined by Alex Nelson to talk through our predictions
00:14for AEW All in London, taking place this Sunday at Wembley Stadium in, well, London.
00:22Our second prediction comes in the form of a chap we spoke about in our previous video,
00:28Will Ospreay, formerly of New Japan Pro Wrestling, signed full-time to AEW, little niggling kind
00:35of situation involving him and the WWE, but we'll leave that to the dirt sheets, we'll
00:40just stick to the facts, man.
00:42He is up against the AEW American Champion, not the International Champion, no, no, no,
00:50when our scumbag MJF Maxwell Jacob Friedman beat Will Ospreay during an episode of Dynamite
00:56for what was once the AEW International title, MJF decided to use that as, well, a crux
01:04to go jingoistic pro-American on this occasion.
01:07He's wrestled in Mexico, extolling the virtues of Donald Trump and gaining what we wrestling
01:13fans like to call heat, which is eliciting booze from a foreign audience.
01:18Safe to say that he's probably going to come gung-ho with the whole Americanisms.
01:24He's been doing so on the campaign trail promoting AEW all in London anyway, but we
01:31spoke about this briefly, if Daniel Bryan in the last video we said was going to retire,
01:36could that mean then that the happy ending we get is Will Ospreay reclaiming it, or is
01:41there more mileage to MJF's character as the AEW American Champion?
01:46It's a difficult one, right?
01:49It's difficult, and I think it will depend on the night on, you know, the running order
01:55and what's happened in other matches, because I think whoever wins in this one will dictate
02:02who wins in the Swerve Danielson match, because obviously, you know, you don't want to have
02:06two big heartbreaks on your big show.
02:09No.
02:10I'd like to say that Ospreay has his big, you know, homecoming and sort of crowning
02:17and picks up the title, but again, it's not the title, it's a title.
02:24I do think they're leaning very heavily into MJF as the sort of super bad guy, so it wouldn't
02:31surprise me if there's some sort of shenanigans go on to cost Ospreay his opportunity in front
02:37of thousands of fans.
02:40Just like you said, the heat from that would be astronomical.
02:43So again, another one that's difficult to predict, I think, depends on so many of the
02:48other moving parts going on around it.
02:50How have you found MJF's abrupt, because he returned as a babyface, a good guy in other
02:56terms, and then he quickly deviated into becoming a bad guy.
03:01How did you feel about that abrupt kind of change from a good guy to a bad guy?
03:07Do you think it was a bit of a knee-jerk reaction, or do you think it had to happen?
03:12I think it had to happen.
03:13I think MJF is much better as a bad guy.
03:17I haven't particularly enjoyed his sort of recent performances as much as I did once
03:23upon a time.
03:24He makes me laugh in terms, you know, just the way his sort of promos and speeches to
03:30the crowd are so obvious almost, the way, you know, he unfurled an American flag with
03:36his face replacing the stars on it and things like that.
03:39It's just like stupid stuff, really, but it's entertaining to an extent.
03:44But yeah, I think he does work better as a bad guy, and I think he'll be very good at
03:50making good guys look better in the future, good guys like Will Ospreay, who, you know,
03:56if and when he does vanquish him, will get that sort of rub, they call it, you know,
04:00sort of look great in the process.
04:05Yeah, he'll gain that momentum through either beating MJF or MJF will just get, I mean,
04:11could you imagine the shower of boos MJF would get in front of a pro Ospreay audience?
04:18He keeps saying, bruv, I'm like 15 minutes away from the stadium, you know, this is my
04:24hometown.
04:26It just beggars belief just how much that crowd would absolutely destroy MJF, and yet
04:33at the same time, that's the kind of the heat, as we're saying, the kind of hatred that you
04:38want for someone you're setting up as your big time end of level boss, correct?
04:44Yeah, I mean, I'm just getting excited about as you're just picturing him raising that
04:51bell and, you know, obviously, if he does win, he's going to do it through some sort
04:55of dastardly means.
04:56It's not going to be it's not going to be fair.
04:59But, yeah, just the noise that will be raining down on him will be amazing.
05:03So, yeah, I hope he does win, actually.
05:08I'm hoping not only that he does win, but I'm also hoping that he gets carted out in an
05:13oxygen mask once again and then tells everybody, no, I'm a perfect specimen of health.
05:18There was, you know, I beat him in five minutes flat, that 45 minutes never happened.
05:24I'd like that to happen.
05:25My heart wants MJF to win because I think that there's a lot more momentum behind this
05:30pro-America thing, especially if AEW's planning on touring outside of America, be it
05:36Canada, going down to Mexico, MJF going over to New Japan because they've got that
05:42development deal might be quite an interesting thing.
05:44Or for those Puro fans that are in the know, DDT, Dramatic Dream Team might be another
05:51destination that would work for MJF because DDT is known for its more comedic
05:57storyline based stuff rather than New Japan's very athletic driven stuff.
06:02That's what my heart says.
06:03My head's telling me, though, that Will Ospreay being the hometown hero, it would be
06:07the equivalent of England losing to Germany during the World Cup at Wembley Stadium.
06:13You know, there's a little bit of use, kind of like, oh, God, I really want to see what
06:18would happen if that occurred.
06:20But I think if we said in the last video, Daniel, Brian Danielson, sorry, is going to
06:27retire, then you have to have the yang with the yang.
06:30And I think the yang on this occasion is Will Ospreay winning the title.
06:34Does that mean he'll hold it for a length of time?
06:36No, because you've got all out a week or two later.
06:39So it's the feel good moment we're all hoping for at Wembley Stadium.
06:44My prediction's Will Ospreay.
06:46Same here.
06:47I think as much as I want, you know, the contrarian within me wants to see the heel
06:54retain and the sort of entertaining things that that will bring up.
06:57Yeah, they've got to go with Ospreay, really.
07:00It just makes sense.
07:02But like you said, you'd sort of hope he'd have a long run with it.
07:06But then you kind of need to get him towards the world title.
07:08That's why you brought him in, surely.
07:10So we'll have, like you said, another pay-per-view just a few weeks after this one.
07:14We'll have to see what happens, how it all plays out.
07:16Oh, there you go.
07:17That's the prediction.
07:18Both of us feeling that it's going to be a good day for Will Ospreay and a good day for England.
07:23I'm waiting for those England, England chants to occur.
07:28And why not?
07:29It's going to be a big, big event and a big homecoming once again for our boy Will Ospreay.
