00:00Allah is the most caring towards everything. Rahman comes from the word Rahm. Some of the
00:06meanings of Rahm are to love, to have kindness and to have mercy. Another meaning of the
00:13word Rahm is when a woman is pregnant. Her stomach is called Rahm. It's called Rahm
00:19because the baby is taken care of from the mother. It gets food, it gets warmth and the
00:25mother protects it from any harm. Even though the baby still doesn't know the mother yet
00:31and doesn't have any love or care for the mother yet, the mother loves her baby so much
00:37and takes care of it no matter what. Allah is Al Rahman. He takes even more care of you
00:43even if you don't love him back or know him. He still takes care of you. Whether you are
00:49a Muslim or not, or a good person or not, an animal or not, whatever it is, Allah still
00:57takes care of everything. He provides all of them things such as air to breathe, water,
01:04and food and all other things one may need in life. Just like in Dua Qumayl where it
01:10says, بِرَحْمَتِكَ الَّتِي وَسِيَتْ قُلَّ شَيْءٍ
01:16This means His Rahmah, His kindness, mercy and care goes to everyone and everything.
01:24So Allah is Al Rahman, the most caring towards everything. Allah is also Al Raheem. The word
01:33Raheem means the most kind. Raheem also comes from the word Rahm but it is a special kindness
01:40to believers only. Allah says in the Holy Quran وَكَانَ بِالْمُؤْمِنِينَ
01:47رَحِيمًا And Allah is the most kind to the believers.
01:53So do you remember what Rahman and Raheem mean? Rahman means the most caring towards
01:59everything, and Raheem is the most kind towards the believers.
