00:00Long ago, the world was very different from the world we know today.
00:04It was a time when people forgot about being kind and good to each other.
00:09Instead, they chose to be selfish and mean, making the world a sad and dark place.
00:15Up above, watching over everything, was God.
00:19He saw how bad things had gotten and felt deeply saddened.
00:23But amidst all this, there was one man who was different.
00:27His name was Noah.
00:29Noah was not like the others.
00:31He was kind, he cared for his family, and he always tried to do what was right.
00:36Because of his goodness, God noticed him.
00:39One day, God spoke to Noah.
00:42He told Noah about the big plan to wash the world clean with a great flood.
00:47But because Noah was good, God wanted to keep him and his family safe.
00:52God gave Noah a special task, to build a huge boat called an ark.
00:57This wasn't just any boat.
00:59It was to be big enough to hold Noah's family and two of every kind of animal in the world.
01:04Noah got to work, even though the people around him couldn't understand why.
01:09They laughed at him, thinking he was silly.
01:11But Noah didn't mind.
01:13He trusted God and kept building the ark, plank by plank.
01:17After the ark was built, something amazing happened.
01:21Animals started arriving in pairs.
01:24Lions, elephants, giraffes, and even tiny insects all lined up to board the ark.
01:30Just as God had said, it was two of every kind of animal in the world.
01:35Noah and his family helped them find their places inside,
01:38making sure that all the animals were comfortable.
01:41It was a beautiful sight, all the different animals living together peacefully.
01:47Then the skies began to darken and the first drops of rain started to fall.
01:52It rained like it had never rained before.
01:55Water poured from the sky, day and night, for forty days and forty nights.
02:01As the rain poured down and the waters climbed higher,
02:04entire cities and all the people in them disappeared beneath the waves, leaving nothing behind.
02:11Inside the ark, Noah, his family, and all the animals were safe and dry.
02:16They could hear the rain and the storm, but they stayed together,
02:19waiting for the moment they could come out again.
02:22Finally, the rain stopped, but the earth was still covered with water.
02:27Noah needed to find out if it was safe to leave the ark.
02:31He sent out a raven, but it came back, finding nowhere to land.
02:35Then he sent out a dove, which also returned.
02:39Noah waited a bit longer and sent the dove out again.
02:43This time, it brought back an olive leaf, which meant that the waters were receding
02:48and life was starting to grow again.
02:50Soon the ark came to rest on a mountaintop.
02:53The earth was finally dry enough for them to leave their big, wooden home.
02:58Noah, together with his family and all the animals,
03:01opened the door of the ark and stepped out onto the soft, muddy ground.
03:06They stretched their legs and took deep breaths of fresh air.
03:10The world looked clean and new, like a blank page waiting to be filled with stories.
03:16Flowers started to bloom, and trees began to grow tall and green again.
03:21As Noah and his family stood on the fresh earth, God spoke to Noah again.
03:26He made a very special promise.
03:28God promised that he would never send a flood to cover the whole earth again.
03:33And as a sign of this promise, he put a rainbow in the sky.
03:36It was bright and colorful, a reminder of God's love for every living creature.
